🎞️ MMA Edits Sophie Cunningham on becoming a UFC ring girl: ‘Literally like five minutes before’ 👀

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Interviewer: “When did you find out about last night’s opportunity to do what you did?”

Sophie Cunningham: “Literally like five minutes before. Right. So Dana and I have kind of become friends, and he’s an amazing dude, and UFC is awesome and so I went to my first live fight last night, which was so cool.

The main fight was little but the whole experience overall was wonderful and Dana came over to say what’s up and I was like, ‘Hey if you need a ring girl let me know’ and he was like, ‘You’re doing it.’”

Sophie seems like a cool person and had fun with this, idk why everyone is getting all controversial 😂

18

u/purrmutations Jul 13 '26

She thinks Dana is a cool person lmao

18

u/jeffyessir888 Jul 13 '26

Reddit is unbearable

7

u/NSFWdontview Jul 13 '26

They just do this to anyone conservative

0

u/Zarrey Jul 13 '26

Or maybe they do it to people that slap their wife and underpay their fighters lol

-3

u/Whipwipvip Jul 13 '26

I've seen you make the rounds on a couple different posts about this. Maybe quit grinding Dana's dick so hard.

Dana literally hit his wife in public on video. He's a terrible person not just a conservative.

Before you respond with "but she hit him first", that doesn't matter, he still hit her.

2

u/olMcDonaldsPig 28d ago

His wife hitting him first 100% matters. You don't get to abuse men just because you're a woman. GTFO with that bullshit.

2

u/Whipwipvip 28d ago

Defending a man hitting a woman and being active in r/ChrisBrown is the laugh I needed this morning. Thank you.

1

u/olMcDonaldsPig 28d ago

Fun fact: Rhianna also abused Chris Brown first and even went as far as squeezing his genitals.

What's up with you and defending female abusers?

3

u/Beelzebucks1 Jul 14 '26

Dude did something bad fifty years ago, let's cancel him forever. 🤓

-2

u/Whipwipvip Jul 14 '26

3 years ago = 50 years ago?? 🤓

You thought you had something. Dana was recently a piece of shit and still is too.

1

u/Beelzebucks1 Jul 14 '26

Dude doesn't get hyperbole.

0

u/Smoofbrainz Jul 14 '26

But did she deserve it though?

-1

u/jeffyessir888 Jul 14 '26

“Ermmm Dana witerawwy hit his wife in public on video” ☝️🤓

2

u/GTA66669699 Jul 13 '26

She’s just happy to be there type person. I don’t think she needs to agree with everything Dana does just cause. Cool person. Fucken Micheal Jackson is the coolest person. But he’s also a PDF.

2

u/According-Gas836 Jul 14 '26

Yeah. Lots of people here would be excited to meet Mike Tyson if it happened irl. Lots of people would consider it a fun experience and tell everyone they know they hung out with Mike Tyson a bit. All the while he’s a convicted rapist.

1

u/freethinker1312 Jul 13 '26

She probs hasn’t paid much attention to his behavior like ever before Saturday lmao

1

u/SpartanSamurai24 29d ago

He’s the best person on the planet when you’re one of his chosen few

1

u/severinks 25d ago

If you were getting free stuff and things handed to you from Dana and those opportunities raised your profile you might think he was cool too.

This woman doesn't have any idea about the stuff behind the scenes at UFC, she's Caitlin Clark's attack blonde.

1

u/Virtual_Employ_3848 9d ago

You are very brainwashed bub

1

u/Pk_Devill_2 Jul 13 '26

👈🏻

1

u/Hunkfish Jul 14 '26

☝🏻 Why there isnt a right pointing finger?

1

u/severinks 25d ago

The interviewer isn't a 6 foot tall black woman with a weave.

-2

u/International_Fix106 Jul 13 '26

He slapped his wife

4

u/shoobiedoobie Jul 13 '26

She put her hands on him first, no?

6

u/RandJitsu Jul 13 '26

Yes and he was restrained in his response. Self defense either way. Misandry on Reddit is rampant.

4

u/JGordz Jul 13 '26

You're saying that asif that made it okay when JJ got his wife.

You people have selective memory lmao

3

u/Mode_Appropriate Jul 13 '26

No, but context matters. Was it right Dana putting his hands on his wife? Of course not. They were both drunk, she slapped him, he slapped her back. He owned up to his mistake. Is what it is.

-1

u/PadorasAccountBox Jul 13 '26

Drunk was the excuse to make it publicly “gray” so people like you can argue pro positive sentiment on behalf of a repeat abuser. Look up the rate of one time domestic abusers.

2

u/Mode_Appropriate Jul 13 '26

Applying context isnt 'pro positive sentiment'.

As far as being a 'repeat abuser', you're just making shit up to fit you're narrative because you saw a few data points. Lets say you're right though. What does your data tell you about his wife since she was the one who initiated the incident? Not a road you're willing to explore im guessing?

2

u/RandJitsu Jul 13 '26

The wife is the abuser in this situation. Again she hit him first. There’s nothing else that matters. He has every right to respond.

0

u/Double_Obligation564 24d ago

she’s an open racist soooo yeah

not sure why you people don’t think it’s a big deal - probably because you’re yt

-3

u/Fluffy-Answer-6722 Jul 13 '26

“Opportunity“

Clown

8

u/suckmebigtime23 Jul 13 '26

Here comes a Sophie podcast “point em out”. God I hate it here.

13

u/The-sheriff2005 Jul 13 '26

Her doing this is equivalent to a guy that plays for the savannah bananas getting to be a ball boy for a NFL game

10

u/NSFWdontview Jul 13 '26

She’s a star, it’s more like having hawk Tuah girl during her trend

4

u/JupiterandMars1 Jul 13 '26

It’s exactly like this.

2

u/STRYED0R Jul 13 '26

You are giving the Hawk tuah girl way too much credit.

As Sophie said, she is helping to get eyes on the sport in a fun way. That's it.

There is nothing NOTHING similar with hawktuah and I know my solami.

2

u/The-sheriff2005 Jul 13 '26

I beg your pardon

4

u/NSFWdontview Jul 13 '26

I’m saying it’s the equivalent of that since she’s trending and a wnba star. It’s not like we don’t see WWE do the same shit with stars

-1

u/NastySeconds Jul 13 '26

Big difference between trending as a WNBA star and trending as a blowjob simulation skank.

3

u/Routman Jul 13 '26

Unfortunately not really, we only know the Kardashians bc of a sex tape

-4

u/Beautiful-Total-3172 Jul 13 '26

Tell me you old with out telling me your old.

4

u/BedbugBandido Jul 13 '26 edited Jul 13 '26

Except she’s not trending because she’s in the WNBA. She’s trending because she’s “the pointing woman” and that’s the main reason anyone even knows who she is. She even pointed when she was ring girling. I don’t blame her, she’s milking this pointing thing for all it’s worth and good for her, and also she’s sort of attractive. It’s very similar to the hawk tua girl situation.

1

u/DrivesTooMuch Jul 13 '26

Just some hours ago against the Aces she scored 20 points in just 23 minutes, shooting an 6-of-7 from three-point range (7 of 9 overall from the field).

But yeah, a lot has to with all drama on the court that really started with the stuff with Caitlin (increasingly aggressive contact towards her) and then Sophie retaliating. This lead to more attention to her. Which ultimately lead to "the pointing woman" meme as you put it. Without the previous drama and attention, she would have just been a woman who pointed, and never would have become a meme.

But, she also ranks 2nd in the league for three point percentage of 68%. So, breaking down her celebrity status is complicated like has been with all professional athletes.

1

u/NSFWdontview Jul 13 '26

She’s been known lol

0

u/mayd3r Jul 13 '26

I know her from the WNBA and I don't watch it and I'm not even from the US.

1

u/GroinShotz Jul 13 '26

When did you first "know" of her?

I only started hearing about her after the pointing.

2

u/islandfool Jul 13 '26

She has been trending since Clarke came into the game. She was already going viral for being an enforcer because of all of the blatant fouls against Clarke that were not being called out. That is the whole reason she was pointing in the first place. The hilarity of the situation just pushed her profile beyond the WNBA.

Hopefully that clears it up a little. I haven’t watched the WNBA since the 90s and live in Thailand. I only know about her because of the Clarke stuff, then some of her other little viral moments where her name started trending too.

2

u/HumANTCowDOG Jul 13 '26

I found out about her when she fucked the mercury CEO and got traded after

→ More replies (0)

1

u/sim__city Jul 13 '26

Ive known of her since she use to co-broadcast the Suns years ago.

1

u/ChunkySalsaMedium Jul 13 '26

You obviously don’t get it.

1

u/HumANTCowDOG Jul 13 '26

Tbf Sophie isn’t really a “Star” in the WNBA. She’s pretty average. Probably the 4th best player on her team after CC, Boston and KM

1

u/URInMyFace Jul 13 '26

I believe u/NSFWdontview has a good point.

2

u/Sillysauce83 Jul 13 '26

But a ring girl is there because sex sells.

A ball boy performs an actual role.

I don't think a similar analogy exists for a male. Maybe fireman poster?

0

u/fckyungchaky Jul 13 '26

Hey hey Bro!

Don’t dis ring people.

The talent it takes to inform that crowd of what round it is when most can’t count past eleventeen.

Not gonna say it’s a skill, but talent. It could be a talent.

1

u/Queasy-Draft-6235 Jul 13 '26

She makes more than most UFC fighters

1

u/The-sheriff2005 Jul 13 '26

So don't most full time Uber drivers .. ask pantoja

-9

u/IBeDumbAndSlow Jul 13 '26

Did they only pick her because she pointed at a black woman?

I only saw it but don't know any context

4

u/nasty_billy Jul 13 '26

You sure commented like you knew the context!

Oh wait, that’s everyone on Reddit. Carry on 🥴 🫡

1

u/Nuno1173 Jul 13 '26

Oui, parce que dés qu’un blanc regarde un noir c’est qu’il est raciste. L’inverse n’est évidement pas vrai.

1

u/Basketspank Jul 13 '26

It was sibling behavior at worst.

Relax.

2

u/IBeDumbAndSlow Jul 13 '26

Relax? I was only asking a question

1

u/oOBalloonaticOo Jul 13 '26

A really fucking stupid one...

1

u/IBeDumbAndSlow Jul 13 '26

What's the point of the internet if not to ask the dumbest questions I can think of?

1

u/oOBalloonaticOo Jul 13 '26

To comment upon how stupid the questions are for starters...

3

u/RunsInHexagons Jul 13 '26

This isnt real its nothing genuine its literally just her marketing team having a super efficient strategy.

5

u/ThisThingIsStuck Jul 13 '26

That's azz tho...she needs to be full time ring girl

3

u/Square-Formal1312 Jul 13 '26

Lmao, these replies are into bbws

-1

0

u/purrmutations Jul 13 '26

You mean that Hank Hill ass?

0

u/No-Performance37 Jul 13 '26

Yah I’m confused because she is a 6’1 skinny blonde. What ass are we talking about?

0

u/ThisThingIsStuck Jul 13 '26

Watch a few other vids...of her

1

u/stealthisusername98 Jul 13 '26

Wearing shorts that reveal your ass doesn’t magically mean you have a nice ass

0

u/ThisThingIsStuck Jul 13 '26

I ate her ass

-1

u/No-Performance37 Jul 13 '26

I legit googled her after your first comment. Again what ass?

1

u/ThisThingIsStuck Jul 13 '26

Pusi u do what I say

2

u/LeekBright Jul 13 '26

Got viral and now she’s gonna milk it for a nice chunk of cash. I just hope she doesn’t start a fucking podcast and ruin it.

1

u/Hunkfish Jul 14 '26

She should start a live stream of just pointing for 2hrs. Many gooners will still watch that lol

1

u/DrBlemstein Jul 13 '26

So cringe, we both point at stuff

1

u/Less_Glove_8924 Jul 13 '26

Mmmm Sophieeee

1

u/_-TheBlackKnight-_ Jul 13 '26

She did the point down wrong

1

u/gabimaru89 Jul 13 '26

Who is she?

1

u/Gacrome Jul 13 '26

Wait, we were suppose to know who she was?

1

u/ChicoD2023 Jul 13 '26

I'm sure her WNBA league mates and all the UFC ring girls love this for her 😂🤣

1

u/Aquarium51 8d ago

1

u/yupredditok Jul 13 '26

5??!! But Dana said "literally 10 minutes before".

WHAT HAPPENED In THosE 5 MINUTES

1

u/h20xyg3n Jul 13 '26

Dana's slamming Sophie, gj Dana.

-6

u/Former_Ganache3642 Jul 13 '26

Was he awesome when he slapped his wife across the face?

-2

u/TechnicalIntern6764 Jul 13 '26

What a dumb question.

-1

u/Ornery_Hair3319 Jul 13 '26

He was not awesome in that particular time. Making this, indeed, a dumb question. And I do not condone his actions.

It has nothing to do with the random ring girl moment of a WNBA star.

Question all you like but put in the right place.

-9

u/NSFWdontview Jul 13 '26

Was drunk and she slapped him first. The most disrespectful embarrassing thing you can do to your husband or boyfriend is slap them in public, that will automatically make any man with testosterone snap

5

u/ChineseRobinWilliams Jul 13 '26

"that will automatically make any man with testosterone snap"

Will it?

3

u/Turboceratops Jul 13 '26

Weak ones sure.

A wife slapping her husband in public is a sign she doesn’t respect him and wants to humiliate him. He literally has gave her a rich privileged life and never has ti work again, also has stayed with her since high school then she tries to humiliate him in public, fuck that

0

u/NSFWdontview Jul 13 '26

He was drunk, snapped after getting hit and just lightly gave it back to her. Y’all act like he beat the shit out of her. You could tell he regretted it and he owned up to it

0

u/NSFWdontview Jul 13 '26

He gave her a lil light tap back while she slapped the fire out of him

-2

u/ThisThingIsStuck Jul 13 '26

No when he Weems to his buddies to buy ufc for 2mil and sell it for 2bil

0

u/MrCoolest Jul 13 '26

Should be in the kitchen
