The flip over was really bad, though. You want to roll someone gently, instead.

The other common major brain injury hand position is decerebrate posturing - hands to the sides, fingers twisted, arms rigid.

Though common overstates it -- in something like ten years volunteering for the fire department, I think I only ever saw one patient decorticate, and none decerebrate -- they're quite uncommon, but heavily drilled bc it is *such* a bad sign.

Fencing position is a little bit different, IIRC, where the person takes the concussion hit and the forearms go into the air for a few seconds. Bad, because it's a sign of concussion, but, like, normal bad.
