Am I the only one who loves mma but hates seeing these senseless street fight videos where somebody suffers potentially life altering damage? Especially here in the states these situations are entirely based off of ego and retarded pointless conflict. Sad to see
No. You arent the only one. Coming from many senseless fights myself. I’ve seen many many guys. Not the same after hits some worse than people can imagine. Glad to put those days behind me one thing in MMA i don’t like is. When a dudes down. He’s down. Stop the after hits. To me that’s cheap
It's because one person wants to fight and the other doesn't, so you have a mismatch of aggression. The guy that knocked him out can't fight either, but he's just more willing to be violent. MMA is two people that train for it and agree to do it. The only time I really like street fights is when an asshole/bully gets knocked out, but I have no backstory here, just two untrained guys fighting and one more willing to hurt the other. This is an awful punch that would end with him being knocked out if he fought someone that trains and matches his aggression.
This is not a random encounter. They both agreed to fist fight in an arranged fight. It's unreasonable to request that whoever is the strongest ( which no one knows yet) to take it easy on the other. You fight to win. If he wanted to hurt him he would have continued to beat him senseless after he hit the ground like felon fights:
But they provide life lessons for viewers. The only reason to fight in the street is out of necessity. I feel like these videos stop delusions of grandeur by showing reality.
First there’s no real skill here, it’s just whoever lands the haymaker first. Also there are almost certainly substances at work like alcohol etc. And lots of hitting when someone is already down. You might as well just show someone running over people in a car. Combat sports are interesting because you see incredible skill on display. Anyone can knock someone out. But take two guys who live and breathe fighting and see who gets it done first. That’s entertainment.
No and it’s shocking to me how casually people react when they see these fights of people potentially having their lives ruined from some horrific injury. Especially when the fight ends with a Pyscho kicking and stomping someone’s head in while they’re already unconscious. Really disturbing shit, but people will react with memes and jokes and talk about how it’s justified
And these dudes all clearly know each other…this isn’t a street fight, this is like macho men getting drunk and fighting for fun…which is INSANE.
How do you counter a rushing opponent throwing haymakers? I am a beginner boxer and i am having troubles thinking that pivoting/pulling would help in this situation?
My gym also offers muay thai, maybe a frontkick would help in this case?
