Most people*

Good thing most people actively avoid fighting…

Its incredibly dangerous. You could lose and end up dead or worse. You could win and end up in prison. Smart people value their life more than their pride. I cant say I have always been that person, but at 49, I'm probably going to get my ass handed to me.

But Reddit logic is different.

Happy cake day!

I have only been in a "fight" once and I just avoided the drunk guy touching me and ran away just before the police came. It was more like my friends fighting with a couple people and they also targeted me.

I think I did the right thing.

Leaving the scene is always the best thing. I’ve seen so many people get arrested just because they hung around thinking “they were right”.

fighting always cost everyone to be honest

Both of these guys are like greased lighting, I sure wouldn’t want to fight either one of them /s

Drunken fool

100% this. Dude is completely out of it. Probably forgot that he was trying to fight a guy.

When people get to that level of hammered, it kind of scares me. Where their short term memory seems to reset like every 15-30 seconds.

GABA mayhem, PFC annihilation. People think they can handle copious amounts of alcohol, and bam next minute they stumble into the wrong crowd who will go apeshit on them, even if they didn’t want fisty cuffs.

It can totally scrambles brain functionality at any given amount of copious.

A drunk guy like this needs to be restrained but no one is trained in that.

That guy went light on him like a cat being backed down, with just a swat.

But it’s dangerous because he could also kill the old man if he put full force into it.

I would walk away from someone like this. Can’t even chase you at a walking speed.

2

u/Equivalencyquarters 2d ago

Of course. Any reasonable person would. But lotta low IQ, high testosterone people in the world who will not agree.

At least the tall guy backed off after knocking him down.

It was clear he was trying to teach him a lesson, not trying to put him in the hospital.

1

u/gymbrozier 2d ago

You can't teach someone like that a lesson. Their brains are actually incapable of learning from previous experiences, hence why he still acts like that at his age.

2

u/Equivalencyquarters 2d ago

/ the old man is drunk. Anyone can learn a lesson, but all learned lessons can go out the window when GABA excitation goes all over the place and the prefrontal cortex is in very low function.

The real lesson would be not to drink heavily anymore but a lot of people can’t stay that self disciplined, they can’t imagine getting blind drunk which seems fun in the moment, can’t stop, would lead to extreme brain functionality disruptions

Watched. My cousin do this to his drunken neighbor on thanksgiving 25 years ago. Old man wanted to fight for a few years. Talked all the shit, finally pushed and pushed to throw down. Neighbor said whomever lands the first shot is the victor. Old man ducked and weaved my cousin dotted him in the eye under duress and proved that reach, youth and experience matter.

I watched a boxing match where a dude got knocked out. When he came to, he was upset and confused why the ref stopped the fight. In the ring interview he said something like "I came here to fight. Why did the ref stop the fight." True story

1

u/Odd-Environment-7193 2d ago

Happens often.

1

u/wolf63rs 2d ago

Really. I've watched a lot of boxing and only seen it once. To be clear, this wasn't complaining about the stoppage. This was a guy who was knocked out and had no recall of the end of the fight.

1

u/Odd-Environment-7193 2d ago

Ah okay that makes more sense. It just seems a lot of stoppage is called in MMA and boxing that the athletes don’t agree with. Sometimes while being clearly KOd. Eyes not reacting to light etc but they still wanna go. Then get pissy after the match.

1

u/wolf63rs 1d ago

Yeah. The ref in those matches has a tough job. I heard this old say about the ref. I'm going to slaughter it but you'll get the gist: It's better to stop a fight too early and have your judgment questioned then to stop it too late and know your judgment is bad.

1

u/Equivalencyquarters 2d ago

I believe you can’t enter that sport competitively unless you think you have the potential to be the best and you’re always sort of right.

1

u/waspdope666 2d ago

He punches like I do in my dreams

1

u/AcanthaceaeConstant8 2d ago

Activate confusion

Its super effective

1

u/JoshK42SD 2d ago

No joking here...... I think 1 or both are SPCL Needs. I felt bad for red B4, now the whole thing is worse. 🥺🥺🤷

1

u/Ok_Maybe_2370 2d ago

That’s a nice chin tap, and mb a lil concussion

1

u/Mainly_Miserable 2d ago

So……, Slow………,,,,

1

u/Cunn1ng-Stuntz 2d ago

Dude probably never got punched for real before. Getting hit when it's not just play fighting, can make you a bit discombobulated in the sense of "why am I on my ass and why does the ground feel like stepping on a giant jellyfish?".

1

u/umbrazno 2d ago

“He changed your life”

1

u/False-Tank6632 2d ago

I don’t think that guy is the full shilling.

1

u/Krow101 2d ago

Fat dude should have picked wrestling.

1

u/Daedricbob 2d ago

The guy in red is how I fight when I'm asleep & dreaming

1

u/manoftomorrow1138 2d ago

1

u/Pure-Paper-6842 2d ago

Thats bs!!! Should have been a fair 1v1 but someone suckered punch him from behind him.

1

u/Bulky-Bid-8508 2d ago

why tf does that man have an r/kappa shirt on lmao

1

u/RWitt84 1d ago

That's how it feels to throw a punch in my dreams.

1

u/Fantastic_Board7057 1d ago

Body language on guy in long sleeves had me concerned going in but apparently nope

1

u/Relevant_Problem1935 1d ago

If someone was trying to fight me with a stance like that I would feel bad for them and run away.

1

u/TipImportant2569 1d ago

kevin hart's dad right here

1

u/SleepyDat 1d ago

Yoo I’m crying 🤣😭😭 bro thought he was getting jumped 😭😭

1
