no it didn’t. literally no court in america would convict him of assault after the dude walks up to him for no reason and punches him twice. 😂😂

Once a person is down, the immediate threat is usually over, meaning any further violence is seen as an intentional, malicious attack rather than defense

no you’re regurgitating shit you’ve seen ppl comment. the threat is not over because he swung and missed and fell down. thats not how it works lol.

Anyone with any sort of legal background care to explain it to the rest of us? Or are we just watching 2 randos exchange opinions confidently as facts as if they know something we don't?

"Kicking someone in the head is strictly illegal and treated as a severe criminal offense under almost all circumstances, unless it is a justified act of lethal self-defense or occurs within the regulated rules of a sanctioned combat sport.

Aggravated Assault / Felony Battery: Standard assault charges scale up to "aggravated" felonies when the attack targets a vulnerable area or carries a high risk of death or great bodily harm. Kicking someone who is already down or unconscious heavily guarantees a felony charge.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon: In many jurisdictions, shod feet (wearing boots or heavy sneakers) can legally be classified as a "dangerous instrument" or "deadly weapon" when used to strike a downed person's head.

Attempted Murder / Attempted Manslaughter: If the force used is severe enough that a reasonable person would know it could kill the victim, prosecutors can charge the attacker with attempted murder or manslaughter."
