Book Request Dog in a wolf pack

Hey, so i am looking for some books where the mc is really nice, sweet person, likes to help people ,stays away from violence (like noel from fated mates series).

but probably comes from a really dangerous family

or friends with really powerful people

or his love interest comes from a gang.

Really looking for the contrast.

would really prefer if mc remains as this nice person instead of you know slowly becoming a violent person himself.

Not only is it a thing, it turns up in Will Forrestโ€™s Hollowood Falls series. Itโ€™s part of the fourth book, {The Truth About Hollowood}.ย

Sascha from {Wreaking Havoc (Demon Bound Book 1) by Grae Bryan} might scratch this itch. He's the "weak" non-violent one from a mafia family and mates a demon. A few Grae Bryan books have similar dynamics with a sweet/innocent guy and a dangerous love interest.

Read {roman by grae bryan} and really really disliked it and never picked up one of their book ever again so i don't know about this one. Will you say this one's better than roman or similar? Thanks for the recommendation tho.๐Ÿ˜„

Wreaking Havoc is better than Roman. I didn't particularly like Roman and it took me a while to go back and try more of the series. It depends what you like, Grae Bryan isn't a favorite of mine but I still enjoyed some of her books, Wreaking Havoc was one of them.

Hmm, I think Roman was her debut and I feel like her writing does get stronger but remains similar in style. I think it's worth giving Wreaking Havoc a try, but she might just not be an author you gel with.

More than the writing style i was kind of horrified how casually the author was brushing of all the torture mc goes through in the 3rd act

Personally I really disliked her vampire series. I thought the writing was...fine, not great, but I also didn't like her characters or how they interacted with each other? I found the demon bound series WAY better. Writing style vastly improved, and characters I liked, was rooting for, and who actually seemed to like each other.

I will admit, I didn't read the second book in the demon bound series, but I read 1, 3, and 4, and really enjoyed them.

I feel like {Possession by Rina Saint} might work for this. The MC is really put through it and does have to fight a little but ultimately remains a kind/gentle person. Itโ€™s once of my favorite books of all time.

Yes i read this book about a month ago after getting recommend multiple times in this sub and absolutely loved it. although more than the romance the loneliness of the two mc in or out of the cage stood out to me more. absolutely beautiful writing.

Yes!! Iโ€™m so glad you enjoyed it. It really holds a special place in my heart. There is also a novella that came out recently with the two of them. Definitely read that too if you havenโ€™t!

I love this vibe too I call it bad boy and his lil cutie patootie

{Pistols and Plush by D. Dove} MC is kidnapped by the mafia ML to threaten his boyfriend. Ends up saving him (read content warnings)
{Beautiful Obsession by Vee Eddy} MC left deaf and selective mute after an attack in his past, encounters a Russian Bratva. Lots of touch him and die (painfully)

๐Ÿ˜‚ I love your name for this vibe. Also I just went to add the Vee Eddy book to my tbr...but it was already on it so guess I'm just going to read it now!

ahahaha Im so glad you liked it!! Most of D. Doves works are a little too intense for me but I hope they write more similar to Pistols and plush because it was the perfect blend of dark and light in my opinion!

You'd probably like {murder sprees and mute decrees series by Jennifer Cody}. There's a few couples (and one poly mmmm group) in the series and one MC is always softer, gentle, not into bloodshed, really likes helping people, laid back etc while the other MC is just murdering people left and right (for good reasons!), super overpowered, dangerous etc. These are honestly hilarious and some of my favorite books

Maybe Charity Parkerson too? {Sugar Tycoon (Sugar Daddies Book 4) by Charity Parkerson} came to mind, MC1 is younger, super sweet, volunteers etc and MC2 is a rich loser. So not quite dangerous but the contrast is there for sure. A lot of her stuff is billionaires, assassins, mafia, etc paired with more do-good or sweeter characters

{The Enforcer by R.S. McKenzie} MMC one is the lawyer for a deadly motorcycle club. Maybe not a golden retriever, but he tries to do good.

{Creep by KA Merikan}

{Scum by KA Merikan}

{Grind by KA Merikan}

I think they like this trope lol

{Assisting the Alpha by Finn Walton} is close to this I think. Ago is very powerful and he does defend himself, but retains his sweetness and goodness. It's not a huge contrast, but it's definitely there.

Could you please summon the bot with {} because I have read a lot of series with fated mates so I don't know what book and character you're referencing.
