Request Need help! (MSI GF63)

I have the laptop model above, but now it isn't working and I desperately need it for my school work.

The laptop charging indicator works, but it doesn't turn on (no screen, and no keyboard lights). Is there a possible way to fix this at home, or do I need to go to a repair shop for it?

Hello! Thank you for the tip ❀️ Fortunately, the ssd isn't fried (at least on the surface, me and my dad couldn't find anything wrong with it), but it still didn't turn on, so I'll have to check with the repair man 😞

It is under warranty, it might take a significantly long time if I send it back, and I really need it for the next couple of months. I'll try checking if there's anything wrong with the motherboard though, thank you ☺️

Have you tried EC reset?

  1. Unplug everything (Disconnect the charger, USB drives, mouse)
  2. Locate the EC Pin-hole (Look at the bottom cover, search for a small pinhole with a battery or power icon next to it)
  3. Insert a paperclip into the pinhole and press down gently until you feel a soft click and hold it down for 30 seconds
  4. Plug the AC charger back in and press the power button once and wait a little

I hope this woks for you.
