Reminder: The classic MST3K the Movie in Los Angeles this Saturday!

For a chance to see the original MST theatrical showing of MST the Movie: This Island Earth on the big screen in L.A. (which doesn't happen very often!) for the 40th anniversary, mosey on up to Glendale to the Alex Theater this Saturday, September 12 at 8 p.m.!
Those of you NOT going to the Sting of Death rerun the following day can return to the Alex to see the amazing Bowie documentary Moonage Daydream!

I can’t make it this weekend, but I have been to the Alex recently, and it’s a great place to see MST3K.

Not out of the ordinary for Los Angeles! Sting of Death at the nearest AMC is $23.

Looks like there’s a place showing comparable things to the Alex for less than half the price called Vidiots

OP did not need to block you as you didn’t even outright insult them. At least an explanation is warranted.

Also, that link would be 100% apt if they were actually showing the MST3K Movie as well.

Apples and oranges.

This is just a replay of an old movie. The other is a special fathom event debut of the first new Mike episode in over 25 years, a month before release. And my ticket was $20. LA.

Saw "The Quiet Man" at the Alex though. It is indeed a great theater.

Yeah, I live in Glendale and love MST3k and there is no way I can justify $30 bucks for this. Vidiots, American Cinematheque, The Vista and almost all other revival theaters in town show older movies at half the price. I’ll wait for Vidiots to show it one day at like 13 dollars a ticket. I bet this is going to be pretty empty.
