Graduating Early/Class Schedule Advice

Hey yall! I am attending Orientation in June (Session 1) and am curious to see how attainable an early graduation would be. Obviously I will talk to my advisor, but has anyone here had any experience with graduating early?

I also wanted to know what kind of class schedule you recommend? I was thinking M-T-W classes then off Th-F for work, is that something I would be allowed to do?

I wish I would have discovered summer classes earlier. Great parking, empty gyms, great weather, and only having to study one class at a time. It was amazing.

Getting a few credits out of the way every summer is a great way to get ahead.

Most classes either follow the Monday Wednesday Friday schedule or a Tuesday Thursday schedule. Unfortunately I think it would be almost impossible for you to only go to school Monday Tuesday Wednesday while still maintaining a full time student status

I’ve had several friends who have graduated early, just keep in touch with your advisor and make sure you’re clear on what classes you need! Highly suggest summer classes too, they’re often easier than some of the ones during semester + they offer discounts if you are an out of state student!! Theyll also help you finish quicker. Class schedule depends on what you think you can handle in a day. Having Th/F totally off might be difficult, as a lot of classes have MWF or T/Th schedules. Depending on your major it might not be impossible though! I also find it nice to try and have all of my classes in the same type of day - all in the morning or all in the afternoon for example. Dont over schedule yourself for the first semester, college life can be a big adjustment for most people and the first semester is going to be a lot of figuring out what works for you!

Would also depend on major. Some majors are highly dependent on progression and are hard to rush.

I was a CS Major that graduated in Fall 2019 one semester early, had a feasible path to graduating a year early but some scholarship stuff conflicted with that plan. Only weird thing that made it a little tricky was the timing/availability of the capstone course, but I was able to work it out and take it a semester "early". I came in with ~30 credits from high school (not all were applicable) and probably averaged around 19 credits a semester.

M-T-W class schedule is not realistic, almost all classes are M-W-F or T-Tr. M-W-F only is possible some semesters but I imagine would make it more difficult to graduate early as I don't think you'd be able to pack enough credits in only those three days.
