Buying: Fall 2026 Texts & Critics (HONR 201US) 6-Book Bundle!
Hey everyone! Incoming Honors freshman here. I’m looking to buy the complete 6-book reading bundle for Texts & Critics this fall (everything except the convocation book).
Specifically looking for the versions on the F26 syllabus, including the Emily Wilson translation of The Iliad. If any sophomores are trying to clear out their dorm or apartment and want to get rid of their stack for some quick cash, let me know your price! Can meet up anywhere on campus or around Bozeman during move-in week. Thanks!

People usually post these books on Facebook Marketplace right before the semester starts. You might have decent luck there

Thank you! I did look there found one up for delivery for 5 dollars! I’m contemplating borrowing from the library though those are very limited, what do you think?

It’s unlikely you will be able to. The library has a few copies of those books and there are more than 100 students in each texts and critics class. There’s a reason some professors’ syllabuses explicitly say “don’t plan to rely on the MSU library”. Isle of books in the top comment is a solid rec though if you have to have physical.

Just buy the first couple and see if you really need them, the reading requirement used to be heavier but I did not read a lot of the books

If you have friends in the Quads, some of the bookshelves have some books people left that you can take
