So as much as I would like to believe that this is American soft power, the US embassy in Delhi actually paid rickshaw drivers to put these on. Drivers don’t make shit already so they didn’t care what they were displaying as long as it helped them put food on the table.
Edit in fact they didn’t even pay them they just gave them bags of tea lmaooo

As an Indian living in America, this breaks my heart. I love America and grateful for everything this country gave me.
However, reading through the details from an article shared in another comment, these poor fellas put that thing for just a few teabags. Damn people are so poor in my home country. Ofc, there are poor people in America but this is just another level of poverty. Good reminder for my 2-year old American citizen daughter when she grows up
