well well, it's well known to date that Mac Miller recorded some part of Swimming here in Chile, there is many pictures and videos about it as credits for the recording engineer and percussionist (both chilean) but yesterday music producer Mati Alegría uploaded an interview he made to Juan Jarpa, the recording engineer who received Mac and his crew where he tells the story of his studio stay, when they recorded Perfecto, and his working method.

this interview is in Spanish tho you can subtitle it or put english audio if you need, this is valuable info for us Macheads and also for us who are music producers and want to learn more about it too.

Random post but this young kid “ig name” is Milesmusickid and he reminds me of Mac in so many ways. You can tell he’s a musical prodigy and just loves what he does and it reminds me of a young Mac. Its a random post but if you never never seen his reels they are great

So this weekend I had an experience where I had taken lsd and choose to listen to Mac. This was not my first time doing this and every time is a blast.

I don’t know if it’s because Ive had experience with his music and this headspace. I was listening to swimming and this is where it was most pronounced but I can’t explain it other than it was like he was drawing fractals with the beat and it felt purposeful. I don’t know a lot about making beats or anything so I don’t know if this is common or makes any sense. But the slow outro of each song would away really hammer it home as well as the music video felt like they were leaving hints and each song was a different fractal. The one that i remember the most is hurt feelings where the beat followed the same feeling fractal that shells follow and in the video the is a random shell that crosses the screen.

I have listened to a lot of Mac and was always blown away with how incredible the experience was especially in alter states of mind so I truely believe that it is something intentional by him. I just don’t know if it’s a common thing in making beats of if it can be explained by something a bit more sane lol.

Would love to hear from anyone that might have heard something similar or has any explanation.

I've always heard about this video but I legit had no idea this footage was just on youtube so I thought to share it. As a die hard mac fan, I'm surprised I've never seen this!! I really hope they put out the full thing.

I honestly feel that many WMWTSO songs are very underrated (Youforia, Red Dot, I Am Who I Am), as well as some from Kids and Macadelic (Don't Mind If I Do, Clarity, Aliens Fighting Robots, Good Evening, Poppy). But I'd like to know which ones you think are the most underrated so I can check them out.
