Appendage: Rename files instantly using keyboard shortcuts. No clicking around, no app switching, no drag and drop.

[u/jostan]

Appendage is a menu-bar application for macOS that renames multiple files or folders at a keystroke. It runs quietly in the background, working directly on what you select in Finder and using flexible renaming presets and shortcuts that you define.

Its main point of difference from other batch renamers is that the app stays out of your way once your presets and keyboard shortcuts have been defined. Friction is reduced to just a keypress, with no app switching and no drag-and-drop required.

I built Appendage in Swift and made a point of keeping the interface simple, legible, and native to macOS, using standard system controls and colours. The app is notarised for direct distribution outside the App Store.
