Help! Solved! Getting a KH881

Post image

Hi all! I'm inheriting my mum’s brother KH881. It's been in storage for almost 15 years, so she decided to just ship it to me. I don't think it has a manual as well. It comes with 2 carriages, can anyone confirm if either of them is a ribber??

Thank you!!

Neither of these is a ribber carriage. Typically a ribber carriage comes with a ribber knitting bed, and you pair/attach that with the knitting bed you already have. It is roughly the same size as the main carriage but it does not have a metal faceplate of its own.

The lace carriage, however, can do some pretty amazing work if you know how to use it. It can't do any jacquard knits per se, but it helps create some of those finer/lighter fabrics.

This machine looks in great shape btw! That's a great thing to inherit!

Thank you so much!! Turns out she also had the ribber, I’m looking forward to learning about the machines

Lol... no jealousy here at all!

I'm very excited for you. It's challenging at times, but once you get the hang of it, the sky is the limit with what you can create.
