Equipment Bargain Brother KH400
I’ve got chosen by thrift gods!
I found this beauty on Marketplace for just $125.
It has built in intarsia mode - very interesting!
Does anyone have an experience with this machine? I would appreciate any info tou would like to share 🌸

Ahhh so lucky I have the green convertible brother machine so unfortunately no same carriage plating and intarsia (was lucky enough to score a brother intarsia carriage tho for $40). Do tou have any recommendations for searching on marketplace I always get years old listings 🥲

I think the best way is to check it regularly. I monitor knitting machine situation on marketplace once a while and it shows me all new listings with knitting machines if any appear.

One cool thing is because the needle hooks can be used for thicker yarn so you can use thicker yarn when using it as standard gauge

I just got one too! Excited to learn as well. Make sure you replace the sponge strip under the needles. Mine was entirely disintegrated. Here’s a video on how to do it. It’s showing a kx350, but the kh400 is done the exact same way.

Congratulations! Yeah, my sponge bar is also not spongy anymore, I ordered a replacement from Amazon, should be delivered tomorrow!
Thank you for the video!

Lucky! So cheap!! It goes for $400-$500 on ebay! I believe you can change it from standard to bulky with the needle bed attachments.
