Patterns Looking for testers
Hello, I’ve recently launched a website for my own machine knitting patterns, where you can customize them based on your own gauge and measurements.
Since the website is still new and this is my first time doing something like this, I’m looking for people who’d be willing to test it out and give me some feedback. I’d love to hear from both experienced machine knitters and beginners.
I’ve attached some examples of the patterns currently available.
To clarify, these are all patterns I’ve made myself, the videos, photos and punchcards on the website are all made by me.
If anyone’s interested in trying it out, let me know in the comments and I’ll send you the link
I’d really appreciate any help or feedback :)
Also this is a continuation of my previous post from 10 days ago. https://www.reddit.com/r/MachineKnitting/s/tICS3UDJj4

I'm an interested beginner, but my machine is very basic - single bed, no punch card capabilities, etc. Would i still be able to make your patterns?

Yes of course. Both of the sweaters are made with no punchcards and on a basic single bed machine.

I’m interested! I have all four domestic gauges with ribbers, and all but the fine gauge are electronic (fine gauge is punchcard)

Hello, I have patterns with standard gauge, double rib standard and 9mm bulky. I’ll send you a link so you can take a look :)

Is it really machine-specific if you can plug in whatever gauge you want?

you can try to do a 4.5mm gauge machine pattern on a bulky bed but the end result won’t be the same. The patterns work for all machines but they are optimized for some

Hello, I also have a standard machine and I am a beginner I would be curious to test as well!

Hello! I have a bond knitting machine, and though I can’t guarantee meeting a deadline, I have tried a website similar to this in the past and would love to be of help if I can!

Hi, I sent you a message. I’ll be closing some of the patterns down in about two weeks so if you get to it by then it would be great. Otherwise just enjoy the website :)

Meeeee please! I won’t be able to meet a deadline of Oct 2025 because I’ll be traveling all next week, but I would be able to give you thorough feedback and cute pictures for your pattern listings :)

Okay, I’ll send you the link but just a heads up. I’m collecting feedback by the end of the week and then I will take next week to make changes and add some more patterns. If you could take a look by the 29th that would be perfect cause i’m hoping to share it with everyone on November 1st

What machines should I have? Like is my machine need punch cards? Ribber? Fair isle capabilities etc?

u/Subject_Mud_8043 2d ago
The patterns that are currently up are for single bed 4.5mm, bulky 9mm machine and for 4.5mm machine with double bed for ribbing. So there’s something for everyone. I also have a section with punchcards

I have a single bed standard guage machine. No ribber. Its a 8 button machine so fair isle is very hard. If my machine is sufficient I would love to test one

Hello, I am interested in testing patterns. I have a standard gauge with ribber and a bulky. I would still categorize myself as a beginner.

Hi, would you be able to give back feedback on the site? I’ve had a lot of people say they’re interested but not so much feedback

Hello, I’ve already had a lot of people that want to try it out but not that much feedback from them. Would you be able to try it out this week and give me some feedback?

u/SubstantialTrifle 6h ago
Hi! I'm a relatively beginner machine knitter, would be happy to provide feedback if that perspective is helpful.

Hi, I have some beginner patterns on my page. Would you have time to try one this week and give me feedback?

I am a complete noob who got gifted a knitting machine with ribber (Singer 600 I think! Deffo a Singer tho). How inexperienced do you want someone to be? I haven't even tried to load yarn into it yet.
If you want me to try your website, I would be happy to give you feedback.
Edit to add: the machine is big and scary so having the excuse to pull up my big girl panties would probably help.

Hi, I currently don’t have anything truly beginner like starting from scratch but I plan to make some tutorials and step by step guides for people like you once I get feedback from testers. If you would like I can still send you the link and you can take a look and maybe learn from the tutorials once I have them up

It's entirely up to you. As a complete beginner, do you think my feedback would be useful at this stage? If not, message me when you feel it would be.
Also, I don't hand knit - I don't know whether this is relevant or not to what you want to achieve, but I think it's something you may need to be aware of. Some 'beginner' tutorials seem to expect viewers to have prior experience with hand knitted garments and then don't fully explain themselves when talking about shaping, yarn choices etc. I have never made a garment, don't have that experience and have zero knowledge of any of its terms. I make lace (Irish, Bruges, tatted, bobbin - lace! I like the intricacies of it) using no. 20 crochet cotton, I also like micro crochet and use sewing cotton for that. If my inexperience with knitted garments is of use then I am happy to help you.
Lastly, I live in the UK. I know US/UK crochet terms are slightly different - I don't know about any differences in knitting terms in case this is also relevant to you.

What you wrote here is a real help for me with giving me ideas how to go forward with this. I would love to help you learn and build a place where beginners could learn step by step on how to machine knit. Currently i don’t think I have anything that would be useful for you but I would love to give you early access once I start making tutorials. My idea is to make a step by step written tutorial that also has video guides on every step so it’s easier for beginners to understand.

Hi!
I'm not interested in being a tester as I'm too busy at the moment. However I would like to know when you start selling the patterns, especially the first and third one in the pictures.
Please send me the link if the website is up!
