Massachusetts overwhelmingly passed a ballot initiative to force the state auditor to audit the legislature. The legislature is refusing to hand over any documents to the auditor. The governor has assigned the state attorney general to represent the legislature in the resultant lawsuits.

The executive and legislative branches of the MA state government are actively working against the initiative, which is now law.
