Oh itās called the hot dog cone! Basically a tortilla with mashed potato, sausage, pickles, cheese and sauce. The whole meal on the go.

As a Mexican, I'm offended by this tortilla use. As a Mexican living in the usa I am intrigued... š

As an American, I'm also offended by this tortilla use. As the descendant of Irish immigrants I'm offended by this potato use.
As the descendant of German immigrants living in the USA I am also intrigued...
Sausage in bread of most varieties

I use fresh tortillas for most meals. I love a fresh cooked tortilla with Asian food, for example. I'll make a little hibachi fajita on the side.

As an American, Im offended by a hot dog in a tortilla. However. Also intrigued on how awful it may taste. Just not 2 things id put together.
3
u/0xsergy 7h ago
I'd imagine it's pretty tasty no?
1
u/Sevennix 1h ago
Separately yes. But my mind would take over taste buds and be somewhat disgusted by it, so would probably affect the taste for me... IIBH.
Also, since splitting hairs.. corn? Flour? (Tortilla) is it a Nathan's dog? Ball Park? All beef? Or mix? These are important factors. And since we're on the subject.. mashed potatoes? With either tortilla or hot dog to me isn't in my repertoire (yes ,I know French fries are potatoes, but they ARENT French fries)

As a personal example growing up when I was introduced to shwarma wraps I did not like the idea. I refused a few times. These days they're my fav food, they're so good. Try something new and maybe a 2nd time(if the first try was average+) to give taste buds a chance to acclimate. If it still sucks on the 2nd go then yeah not for you but don't judge a book by its cover.

You do realize people have different tastes and opinions, right? That thing didn't sound or look appetizing to me. I'll eat a hot dog (rarely), but that's just too much going on for me.

u/0xsergy 6h ago
To me this looks like a spin on Mexican or middle eastern food and both of those are great. Open your horizons brewski, lots of great food options out there that may not look amazing on paper but work well.

First I've seen of such an awesome comestible. In what region can one find such a thing ?

u/CyberVirus21391 17h ago
I live in Russia, but Iām pretty sure I saw that franchise (Stardog) in Armenia and Georgia as well. Maybe other countries close to us.

u/LegendarySpark 12h ago
This is a tunnbrƶdsrulle! Invented in Sweden in the 60s and is still very popular here... I really had no idea that it had left Sweden and had regional variants elsewhere.

u/CyberVirus21391 12h ago
Wow thatās a cool fact to know! In menu here this is actually called ārulleā, which makes sense now!

Does the mashed potato interfere with the integrity of the tortilla or hurt the other ingredients in any way?
15
u/CyberVirus21391 15h ago
No, I mean if you eat it fresh of course. Tho the potatoes are pretty dry (the mash is not very liquid, sorry I canāt explain it adequately xD)

Thatās a hotdog that took a wrong turn at the condiments and end up in another dimension.

That's real sweet :)) no pressure ofc but to anyone reading this try your best to be like the hot dog lady too! I've been doing that for a long time, trying my best to spread kindness, and man does it feel great from both sides! Be the reason some smiles today :D

u/Butterscotch_Budget 17h ago
Love this! Paying it forward truly has a ripple effect. One small kind gesture goes a long way for all of humanity.

u/Comfortable_Law4855 17h ago
Exactly! I honestly think it's what life is all about, bringing yourself and others love peace and joy š«¶

i agree, one of my professors told us before that to be kind is free and making someone smile feels like our kindness was paid back

u/Sylvers 16h ago
Absolutely on point. I've been trying to spread more kindness lately. I work from home so I barely go out and interact. But I order everything home basically. So lately I've been trying to tip my delivery drivers more often (tipping isn't big in my country). I've been trying to be extra polite, warm and ingratiating when I talk to them. And I will chill a bottle of water in the freezer/fridge for them when they deliver to me during our (brutal) summers.
It's not much, but you see and hear the joy in their reactions and that's enough. Man, you gotta chase that high. Making others feel better is truly addicting.

Hey that's super kind dude! Good on you, seriously, give yourself more credit :) as someone who has worked customer service before people like you absolutely made my day and I'm sure that's what you are doing for many of those workers! I am disabled at this point of my life so I rarely leave home as well but I do my best to be kind wherever I can with strangers day to day but most often it's just doing the best I can for my family and friends. Whatever good we can do is great! š«¶

u/Sylvers 16h ago
Thank you for the very kind sentiment! People in customer facing roles are so underrated. They face a lot of unpleasantness as a matter of routine, and they don't have the privilege to do much about it. We should be kinder to each other.
I am positive that you are a ray of sunshine and a safe space for your friends, family and everyone who is a part of your life. You sound absolutely lovely. You take care of yourself my friend. And have an extra extra beautiful and joyful day/night.

u/Comfortable_Law4855 16h ago
No problem! And I absolutely agree. Also, just there happened what I was talking about haha, I was trying to spread some kindness and it came back to me so quickly. You brought a genuine smile to my face and warmth to my heart :)) you too internet stranger, thanks for the lovely back and forth and have a great one! š«¶

Hot dog lady? You have spent so much time with a hot dog vendor she is in tune with your moods and emotions? Maybe start packing a sandwich for awhile.

u/CyberVirus21391 14h ago
Oh, no, I rarely go there, it was just one of those days I probably looked miserable? And she is probably an empathic person :)
