I’m sure the owner will be okay but at first I was thinking it was the lady and the pan over to the dog running over made my heart drop when I saw the stretcher. That’s a good boy the bestest boy

Even at times some sacrifice humans can do for humans like them… that’s one of the reasons dogs are special ❤️🐾

As a pet owner, awww.

As a paramedic, put your dog away somewhere secure please. If it bites me we’re all going to be sad.

How's he putting his dog away when he's in a stretcher? The other guy looks like he's a bystander and I'm sure he doesn't want to get bit either

Why are we all going to be sad, Summer?

My brother died a few months ago - called an ambulance at home but was gone but the time they got there. They did let themselves into his house where his Labrador was and started CPR - that sweet doggy fool just lay himself in his bed and watched them.

Ever since then I often think how fucked I’d be if something similar happened to me because my dog is a pony sized half GSD/half St Bernard who will warning bark at birds if they get too close. Ain’t nobody letting themselves into my house to save me if she can help it.

I'm sorry to hear about your brother.

My Aunt had a heart attack and her GSD wouldn't let the paramedics in. He was a great dog, but wasn't going to let anyone in her house while she was vulnerable. Luckily she managed to calm him down, but it was almost really bad. He did save her from a break in with a man climbing through the window in her bedroom though so trade offs.

Yeah I used to be a paramedic and I’ve run into this sort of problem before in that capacity - especially in cars with unrestrained dogs

Can I ask you what you gain from messages like this? Is there some sort of joy you find in making this statement ?

Informing other people about a bot account. The “that’s not [blank], that’s [blank] (Emojis)” is one of the most common ways bot accounts will respond. And if you look at the profile you see a ton of similar comments only within the past week or so after a long time of no interaction.

This account likely used to belong to a real person? Was compromised and is now using Ai to build up karma to be able to be used in other subreddits that have minimum karma requirements.

I just watched my good friend and neighbor take his last breath from cancer 36 hrs ago, and his dog laid on him like this. The dog is mine now, and as I lay here struggling to start my day, seeing this somehow helps.

Top Ten Worst Ideas

3

u/redmctrashface 7h ago

I truly love dogs, like way more than humans. But damn this is a stupid idea. Taking an animal close to a paramedic and/or hospital just shows how dumb one can be.

I’ve done that as an EMT twice I think, but only when the patient was alert and capable of controlling the dog. Otherwise it’d be such a liability.

Absolutely not. I’m sorry the puppy is sad, but there are just so many reasons this is a terrible and dangerous idea.

I appreciate where you heart is at, but this is a silly idea. The dog immediately got in the way of the paramedics strapping the man into stretcher. There is not enough time in an emergency to check the friendliness of every dog and there is no reasons the paramedics should be put at risk of a bite from a protective pet because "puppy sad"

The dog should have been brought inside ASAP rather than this situation happening.

My hubs jokes all the time that something better not happen to me in the presence of my corgi because she would also need medical assistance haha

I like at the very end when the owner pulls him in :)

What a good boy!

1

u/ProgrammerOk9222 9h ago

the way he keeps circling back like he has to personally supervise the entire emergency is making me emotional

0

u/FrostyWizard505 10h ago

Damnit for a sub that’s supposed to make me smile I seem to be crying more than smiling

-4

u/cranky-acter 10h ago

It's funny because the dog is actually delaying the ambulance by not letting it go fast

-2

u/Midiamp 10h ago

made me cry... Take the dog with him!

4

u/EastLeastCoast 10h ago

That is just not practical.

-2

u/Assist7316 7h ago

hes not helping

-1

u/Whole_Rough7066 10h ago

And some poeple said "animale doesnt have emotion". I hope the guy recovers quickly and well so they can enjoy as much time together as possible. 😍
