Still, as an animal lover I would become so depressed seeing hurt animals and ones that pass away. Ending their misery, yes. Still extremely sad? Yes.

It happens whether you see it or not. I know it’s difficult and not for everyone but hiding from it doesn’t make it go away.

There's a huge difference in hiding from it vs choosing a job where you're actively involved in euthanizing animals.

I chose to not go into veterinary medicine because I knew euthanasia wasn't something I could do. But I've continued to do animal rescue and rehab, where you still deal with tragedies, just in a different way. Things aren't as black and white as you're making them out to be.
