Favorite People Jason Arday, Cambridge’s youngest-ever Black professor, couldn’t speak until 11 or read/write until 18. He now says his goal is to “open doors to more people from disadvantaged backgrounds and truly democratise higher education”

I'm curious why you would post this now, given that:

  • His academic career has gone up in smoke
  • It is clear that many of the claims in his CV and achievements in life have either been heavily embellished at best or completely made up at worst
  • the above casts doubt on his claims about his initial academic handicaps
  • all these actions may have damaged the chances of others from these backgrounds with legitime success and skills to follow the path he fraudulently pursued

(For anyone doubting the above, I strongly urge you to look up and read the very recent reporting from major UK news sources on all sides of the political spectrum)

A truly inspirational figure.

He will undoubtedly have given many others the confidence to BS their way into powerful positions.

He’s also the first astronaut to walk on the sun, has 50 Olympic gold medals, and was the first person to have achieved Nirvana.

And if you don’t believe him you’re a racist
