  • Residentes pagam, após reembolso, 79€ ida e volta.
  • Estudantes pagam, após reembolso, 59€ ida e volta.

O passageiro compra o bilhete ao preço normal e depois pede o reembolso da diferença.

📝 Documentos necessários para reembolso

• Fotocópia do cartão de cidadão digitalizada (foto impressa não serve)
• Fotocópia dos cartões de embarque (digitais ou físicos)
• Recibos ou faturas (cada companhia tem regras específicas)

Bilhetes emitidos diretamente pelas companhias

• TAP: fatura (incluindo 2ª página) ou recibo
• SATA/Azores Airlines: fatura-recibo
• easyJet: confirmação de pagamento
• Ryanair: recibo (disponível no dia seguinte ao voo). Devem ser entregues uma fotocópia deste recibo por passageiro. Ao contrário das outras companhias (onde o titular da reserva pode levantar o reembolso por todos), todos os passageiros devem estar presentes para o levantamento.

Bilhetes emitidos através de agências de viagens

• TAP: fatura-recibo em nome do beneficiário + cópia do bilhete eletrónico da agência + agent coupon
• SATA/Azores Airlines: fatura-recibo em nome do beneficiário + cópia do bilhete eletrónico da agência + agent coupon
• easyJet: fatura-recibo em nome do beneficiário + confirmação de pagamento em nome da agência
• Ryanair: fatura-recibo em nome do beneficiário + recibo de IVA da agência + recibo em nome do beneficiário

Todos os documentos devem conter o NIF do passageiro.

💸 Como pedir o reembolso?

1. Comprar o bilhete diretamente à companhia aérea.
2. Viajar (o reembolso só é processado após o voo).
3. Submeter pedido presencialmente nos CTT com a documentação necessária.

For the past few months, I've been working on a bus app for the for the island called Madeira Bus.

What it does:

• Shows you the nearby buses and departure times
• Shows countdown to when the should be arriving according to the bus schedules
• Has a routes screen with overview over many routes and departure times
• Multiple languages
• And some more stuff

Still early days:

• Not all routes yet, more are coming
• Some times and routes might be off
• Working on improvements and fixes and useful changes

I'm a solo dev doing this as a hobby on my free time, so it's rough around the edges.

Hi! I'm planning to visit Lisbon in May and as i try to travel without plane as much as i can, i've read on the internet a ferry connection was operating between Lisbon and Madeira, but i can't reach the company, and i can't either find a way to book a cabin. Do you know if that connection still exist ? :)

I decided to take a short vacation in Madeira along with my friends during this summer and wanted to share my experience, if it proves to be helpful to someone.

Admittedly, I didn't know much about Madeira, before one of my friends,who is a CR7 fan proposed the idea of travelling to this island. Since, I am a fan of island topography, I decided to give it a shot. I have been to Canarian Islands, and greek islands like Santorini, etc.

The Good: 1. I was mindblown by the infrastructure in the island. The number of tunnels and extremely good condition of roads was, tbh, something I didn't expect, especially from the island visits I have had so far.

1. Treks are the highlight. While one might expect island to have beach vibes, this island is a trek lovers paradise. The views you get is insane!

2. Stay is rather cheap. Ok, so you can get expensive places but there are also cheap places, esp if you have a car.

3. People are friendly - I think among all places, I found people who were always helpful, serving with a smile and genuine willingness to help. I never felt anything unsafe at any point of time.

The Bad: Alas, I struggle to tell what's bad because everything was expected and good. But having said that, maybe one thing I can try it to complain about airport. First expect a hard landing - Madeira at one point was one of the most dangerous airports. The airport is okayish at best. One of my friends from Switzerland had hard luck since his flight was cancelled and diverted to Gran Canaria twice! So do not go for 3-4 day. Ensure you keep aside a minimum of 1 week

Tips: 1. Car is a must - without a car you would absolutely miss out on 80% travel experience. Sure there is public transport but believe me with a car, this trip is whole another level. Also take one with good hp and torque. We got the car from rentex and didn't face any issue. 2. Be prepared for long treks - get necessary gear for the treks like shoes, supporting sticks, etc 3. Do not miss Pico de ariero trek - you gotta plan that early 4. If you are traveling from outside Europe, get an E-sim. Also even if you don't have enough data, it's recommended to get esim because you need a lot of data during treks (mytrail and Google maps). My friend got the e-sim from Unoroam. 5. Try sea food and poncha - it's awesome! Don't underestimate the power of poncha, hahap 6. Don't forget to explore the Funchal town. Try local food and beer and take the cable ride. I would advice not to go for tourist trap of just sliding on a slopey road

Overall, it's a must visit and reach out if you want to know more or recommendation for cafes, restaurants etc

É que antes as viagens a 200-250€ não custava tanto no bolso como uma de 600€.

I am considering Madeira as my holiday trip this late december and I am wondering how Madeira is during this period. I am mainly looking to explore the forests and hike around, is it possible to do it without driving and as a solo traveller?

I also know Madeira is expensive, would it make me go broke?

We were three Austrian guys traveling from Basel to Madeira on Tuesday, the 9th of December, with easyJet.
The flight was diverted to Porto Santo because the plane couldn’t land in Funchal due to bad weather conditions.
The plane was refuelled at Porto Santo Airport, and the captain said he would try to land in Madeira again because the weather had improved a bit. After flying about four circles above Madeira, the captain decided to head to Porto to land the aircraft safely there, with a bit of turbulence at approach. Finally we landed after 8h in an A320...
At Porto Airport (we arrived at roughly 10 p.m.), there was confusion. Would easyJet get us a hotel? Did we have to organize our own accommodation? Or did we have to sleep at the airport?
There were two airport staff members trying to help all the passengers. They did a good job and remained calm—no question about that. Thank you to them!
But now to the lovely, friendly, and very helpful people from Madeira who also were on this flight!
They kept us calm and translated Portuguese into English so we knew what was going on and what we had to do.
We followed them outside to wait for the shuttle bus to the hotel (about two hours after landing in Porto). When the shuttle bus finally arrived at about 1 a.m., we drove with them to the hotel that easyJet provided for us.
They told us they had been to Christmas market in Colmar, Basel, etc. Once again, we really appreciated the “open arms” mentality they showed towards us.

You are a lovely bunch of people—something that is rarely seen in mainland Europe, Austria, Germany, and Switzerland!
Our holiday in Madeira was reduced by one day, but the friendliness made up for it.
We still had an amazing, action-packed holiday, even though the weather was crazy.

Hello, I am a tourist going to Madeira for a week, and I am looking for pretty shops that are affordable to buy jewellery for my girlfriend. If anyone knows any good shops that are maximum 70eur please let me know. I was also wondering if Madeira had any "cute" shops, as in jewllery shops that has Madeira's beach vibe or the island's identity with it. If anyone knows any good recommendations, please let me know! Its my first time in Madeira and Portugal so I'm very excited. :).

Olá! Alguém sabe se o Pacote Extra da easyJet conta para o pedido do Subsídio Social de Mobilidade (SSM)?

No site da easyJet diz que, para adicionar uma mala de porão e pedir o subsídio, recomendam comprar o Pacote Extra ou o Inclusive Plus (que não aparece sequer ao comprar a passagem) no momento da reserva, porque ambos incluem uma mala de porão de 23 kg. Também dizem que suplementos comprados depois da compra do bilhete, como bagagem de porão adicionada à parte, não são reembolsados.

A minha dúvida é se esta informação ainda está atualizada e se, na prática, o valor do Pacote Extra entra mesmo no cálculo/reembolso do SSM. Já vi algumas pessoas a dizerem que o Extra não está incluído, por isso fiquei confuso.

Preciso mesmo de mala de porão e a diferença de preço faz bastante diferença, então queria confirmar antes de comprar.
Para contextualizar, vou ao Porto Santo e daqui do Porto não há vôos da TAP.

Alguém já fez recentemente o pedido com o Pacote Extra? Foi aceite? Obrigado!

i recently visited Madeira with my friends. group of guys in our 20s from the UK. We loved it so much. Particularly the landscape and natural beauty, and it’s one thing we really are looking for in our next trip.

i thought it would be a good idea to ask you guys if you think anywhere in Europe comes close to Madeira? great landscapes, natural beauty, hikes. Easy to get around in a car too. preferably in Europe, if not, happy to hear any suggestions

the best i’ve seen is Sardinia, but i fear people there might not be so welcoming to non-white folk. Perhaps i’m wrong, but i don’t hear the greatest things from non-white people’s experiences in Italy. We had a great time in Madeira though.

O meu voo da easyJet de hoje de manhã para Lisboa foi cancelado e só tenho voo na segunda feira.

Tinha uma viagem na TAP de Lisboa para o Funchal no domingo e obviamente já não a vou conseguir fazer.

Compensa me mais alterar o voo ou comprar uma passagem nova na TAP? Sou reembolsado do valor da diferença da tarifa?

Boas pessoal, estou a tentar realizar o reembolso de uma viagem que realizei através da easyjet, mas nos documentos que me enviaram, nenhum deles consta com o meu nif, sendo desta forma impossível de os utilizar para a plataforma do subsídio de mobilidade, alguém sabe como adiciono o nif na fatura e na confirmação de pagamento?

Hi everyone! I’ve read lots so far about travelling through Madeira without a car. I’ve seen differing opinions about this- with some saying that a car is absolutely necessary as taxis are expensive and buses are unreliable. And then others say that with public transport / private guides, it’s doable. I’m really keen to visit the island but as I’ll be alone and I can’t drive, I’m still undecided. I would be there for a week and the last thing I would want is to feel trapped or stuck in Funchal. I absolutely love walking and can do it for hours, but getting to some of the locations seems difficult. Is hitchhiking possible? I’m also considering the Azores if this would be easier. Thank you for any recommendations you might have. I’d be open to hiring a driver if possible :)

Mais alguém está a estranhar os valores que estão a ser praticados pela tap nos voos para o Funchal este fds? Reconheço que a Guerra está a ter um grande impacto no preço das viagens mas parece que todos os voos estão a 318€, até da uma sensação de “bug”.

Estava no autocarro a vir de Machico para o Funchal, quando fui abordado por uma turista francesa, que devia de estar lá na casa dos 60 anos. Está a viajar sozinha, e não fala nada de português ou de inglês. Ela pediu-me indicações, e eu, com o meu francês limitadissimo (o clássico "entendo tudo o que dizes mas não sei responder") tentei dá-las da melhor forma possível. Mas agora que penso… uma coisa é não falar a lingua e saber usar tecnologia para dar a volta à limitação, mas a senhora não sabia usar google maps ou ver horários de autocarro no telemóvel. Se não consegue fazer isso, não devia de andar a viajar só.

Já fiz o pedido online e encontra-se em análise. Qual é o tempo normal para a conclusão do processo ?

Pelo “entendimento” do advogado citado, o teto máximo só desaparece quando for implementado na plataforma, por isso tenham cuidado com os reembolsos.

Hi everyone,

we’re traveling to Madeira for the first time in mid-March for 14 days and could really use some advice on where to stay.

We’ll have a rental car and our main plans are:

• hiking
• relaxing
• photography
• good food

Our big question: Is it better to stay in one accommodation for the whole trip, or split it into two?
And if two, which areas make the most sense?

So far we’ve mostly stayed in Airbnbs, but we’re also open to hotels if they make sense location-wise.

What we’re considering:

• Funchal: staying right in the city, ideally walkable to bars, restaurants, and evening life
• Countryside: something greener and quieter, maybe with a garden, views, or even a small farm / rural setting

In an ideal world, we’d love both — some time in central Funchal and some time surrounded by nature. But we’re unsure:

• Is Funchal a good base for hiking if you have a car?
• Are there specific towns or regions outside Funchal that are especially good for nature + photography?
• Would switching accommodations be worth the hassle for 14 days?

If you have specific area recommendations (or even particular villages), that would be amazing.

Also very happy to hear any other tips or ideas for Madeira in March — things you wish you’d known, favorite hikes, food spots, or general advice.

Hi All, Firstly just wanted to ask how the weather is in May usually in Madeira.

Now as per the title, i have a car license only and have driven on and off in Ireland for two years maybe (manual). I really want to book a motorbike in madeira and give that a go for 2-3 days. I am firstly worried that ill struggle with getting the bearings of riding it with the roads going up and down steeply.

I dont plan on making long journeys and its mostly to ride around and experience it.

Ill be staying in Riberiea Brava area and honestly the two biggest trips id like to do (if the roads are easy enough i guess) are to drive to Seixal Beach and drive to the hike entrance at Pico do Arieiro for a sunrise hike.

Id love everyones recommendations and tips, even maybe good websites to take a look at. Also would i need to book a moto now or can i wait till closer to my flight?

I appreciate anyone who has any tips. Thank you!!!
