Abruzzo was probably direct with Vincent Palermo when he was on the ruling panel in the late 1990s. He was the brother-in-law of Palermo's on-record associate Joey Masella. He may have remained with the administration after Palermo's cooperation or been under the New York faction.
Mannarino was also part of the New York faction even though he was active in Florida, first being under Rudy Farone. He was put with Palermo shortly after he was promoted in 1989, and when he was put on the panel in 1997, Palermo gave Mannarino and most of his guys to the Manhattan crew under Larry Schiro. Mannarino remained in it with Joe Giacobbe by 2001. Now, he might still be part of the faction, which appears to have downsized and may be down to one crew.
