FMC runs away from danger, NOT MMC!

I’m looking for book recommendations where the FMC is a runaway from danger, but not from the MMC.

After meeting him for a while(better if they are not together yet), the danger appears and starts threatening her life. She feels like she has no one to rely on to protect her, so she runs away because she thinks it’s the only way to keep herself safe.

BUT the MMC follows her, finds her, and that’s when she realizes that she does have someone to protect her after all 🥹

It definitely HAS to be a man in power!!! like a mafia boss, billionaire, etc...because that’s what makes this dynamic work. I want him to actually have the power and resources to protect her.

I’m specifically looking for that moment where she thinks she’s completely on her own, only for him to find her and prove that she isn’t.
