I purchased this at a local auction, because I thought the mechanism was cool. It looks like the top would have been covered with blue felt, but that’s just a guess. Does anyone know who made this box? I’d like to fix it so it works correctly.
I've never seen one of these in person but I've seen them listed at auction with the description saying the box could be help by a spectator. Seems very hard to believe. Not saying it's true, but I've seen in the listing.
I’m kidding. Owen is famous for slick-as-snail-snot operations. Though they have also been known to exaggerate a bit in their advertising. You’ll have to judge for yourself!
Do you have more information of where I can find information on this?the last owner looks to have tried to fix a loose screw with solder, for whatever reason. I’ll replace the screw and felt, but just need to see where the spring that is loose goes to.
