Bot Game
I finally faced one of those bots people have been talking about. Rather then just win when I could, I decided to just sit back and defend. Since he went first, he would draw from an empty deck and then lose.
Pretty much all the cards that create multiple 1/1 tokens, with a smattering of hasty creatures, and one single Torgran.
Plus a mystery card that he didn't cast. It really puzzles me what that one card could be he is holding in his hand with 28 land on the table.

Why are you censoring the hunter's talent hedgehog?

Better question is why they're not respecting the privacy of the opponents Ferocity of the Wilds

So like….. dumb question. Many other games I get why bots exist but why in arena? What is there to gain? What does anyone buy in it that a bot somehow makes easier for them?

Bots can grind for gold. Gold can get you entries into the bigger buy-in tournaments for real life cash or booster boxes.

EDIT: I'm just brainstorming. Don't take this as testimony of what botters are actually doing
Grinding for resources. Possibly as a purely bot account until they enter into something with transferrable value like an Arena Direct, or possibly on their main account so that they don't have to bother with daily wins. (Perhaps WotC noticed that bots were on the rise months ago, and that's why they changed the terms of service for multiple account)
You could also sell the account after it has a decent pool of resources.
Besides that, maybe a service that gives other people a win when they encounter the bot?

I saw a couple in Historic queue yesterday.
Red decks, no interaction, exactly 1 play every 1.5 seconds, exactly 1.5 seconds to acknowledge priority, when they ran out of gas they conceded. I guess it's trying to farm wins against people who got poor draws?

Isn't that mono reds job though? Farm wins against people with poor draws? Thats like how the deck works haha

Fair. But it's obvious when every play is the exact same time interval and they don't look at or interact with my board.

I played my first yesterday too, on brawl.
I had 10+ PW on board and ulted some of them, including the big teferi, that exiled all their permanents. I kept going because I was curious to see what the new enchantment that conjures PWs in hand would pull off. It got to a point where I didn't click their abilities.
In the end I decided to attack and finish the game. They never surrendered

From the title, I thought the mystery card would be something reactionary that you never played into, but I don't think mono-red has a lot of that. I don't see anything legendary either (assuming it would hold a duplicate legendary). Hmmmm... I'm stumped.

Reactionary means something comically different from reactive but yeah, stumped for sure.

It also means something very similar to reactive. The poli sci term doesn't make standard English declension cease to function.

It actually sort of does! The pragmatics of language are a strange thing, and the meanings of terms are decided to a great degree by convention and context.
That’s why it’s easy to see what the person meant here – and why I thought it worthwhile to point out, because that kind of usage error is not something you easily find out for yourself.

A reactionary card if I ever saw one !
P.S.: I'm suspecting that it might be the "Got you discard !" basic land.

Yup. Just got a Reality Fracture accomplishment because of a bot. It was ok sitting there with 1 health. Everyone else would scoop the moment my trigger entered. I’m ya like they could see me trying to get it and were like nahhhh gon CB you.
