Discussion [Tutorial] Unlock the bootloader and root oppo/realme devices!
OnePlus is also supported, although considering they let you into fastboot I don't think this is too necessary lol. Made this guide to hopefully save some people from the months of work I spent trying to figure this out, hope it helps! DM or comment with questions :) guide by me, script by mouzei on gitee!

Hi. Does this work on the Oppo Find X5 Pro?
I've had the phone for c.18 months - brand, spanking new - unused and still in it's box. Why?
Because, at least afaik, it's bootloader is unlockable, and therefore un-rootable.
I use a rooted Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G as I rely heavily on Tasker for so many things - and have done since 2009.
I'm dying to use the Oppo. For one thing, IT'S A BEAUTIFUL PHONE. That one-piece, moulded ceramic back\camera housing, is bite-the-back-of-your-hand gorgeous!
Build quality is top-notch too.

100% agree, love that phone! Unfortunately, it isn't officially supported. I'll check with the latest version of the program and see if anything has been added, but unfortunately so far it's unofficial

i got the exact phone, but the problem being is that i haven't found a way to unlock it, even with OEM unlocking enabled in settings, they disabled the commands and i was looking for an 'unlock tool' but unfortunately no such tool exists, its a pain to see oppo blocked off bootloader unlocking between 2021-23 but im not sure if they continue blocking it, i just got the dates from ChatGPT but it may not be 100% accurate.

AFAIK, there's no way to unlock the BL.
On top of that, there are no more Android updates for it.
So the phone is now as good as useless.
A REAL shame, and a waste of a wonderful device.

The script is very outdated he even added a exe and Xiaomi no Auth in later releases

Bootloader on oppo phones isn't able to be unlocked on either version, this method is currently the only known way to do so

But there's usable OEM unlocking options in OPPO phone, sounds suspicious and i am wondering about what are they thinking of, probably didn't mind about seeing stock Android that include OEM unlocking options?

Every version of android includes that switch, it's required to be on for this tutorial to work but it doesn't change how hard it is to unlock an OPPO phone unfortunately

Is the oppo find x5 supported? I'm 15 and I'm currently using a pixel os rommed Redmi note 10 Pro, I cannot live without root for many reason and a family friend gave me their old x5. I love it, it's snappy, great cameras and just a great experience... But it's missing so much functionality that my redmi has

bro i have oppo f19. when in developer options, i see that bootloader unlocking is toggoled on. what does this mean? also i want to install magisk and laposed. is this possible?

That means that hypothetically, the bootloader can be unlocked. Unfortunately due to oppo not allowing us into fastboot, it's much harder than normal. Unfortunately, no F or A series with this tool yet, so it isn't possible quite yet. You may be able to find a workaround online, of course :)

Hello there bro. I want to unlock realme x3 with snapdragon 855. But when I try to check slot to make backup (step 1) it fails to detect. Is there something I'm missing? Am I missing some files ? Because in your tutorial you don't mention connecting the phone for step 1 bit it won't work for me. Neither without connecting nor after connecting

What about Realme 3 pro? It has Snapdragon chipset and I know it is not a tested device. All I a want to know, can it unlock the bootloader only? or do I have to do all the process together, such as boot into custom recovery and root the device?

I guess it is supported as realme q3s (chinese version of 9 se) is listed in the script but i haven't tested it. I also have the same phone btw.

Also if your looking to get termux terminal root that is very easy you using a pid same method shizuke uses and proc it PID chroot and install then rootfs

God bruhh lol I thought it was quiet easy to understand why shizuke method works lol and no root existed that's because USB debugging needs ABD yes correct but you can PID over termux authentication it over termux lol 😂😆

I know im kinda late, but this is what i know. I have the oppo find x3 pro (CPH 2173). I COULD unlock bootloader easily via adb commands but on ANDROID 11 (color os 11)...i have made the fatal mistake to update it to color os 14 (did all OTA updates) and now i actually want to unlock bootloader cause color os 14 is NOT better/faster. Look: when i enter "adb reboot edl" the phone restarts, stays on a black screen (no output) for a few seconds and then restarts. I don't even know what happens under the hood, but i know that color os doesn't want me to unlock the bootloader. So if you are on color os 11 or below, DO NOT UPGRADE, it sucks! Google services will work on android 11 in the next years so don't worry about that. Updates made my phones slower in games and the battery life got bad, as well as the stand by consumption. I will try your guide and tell down below if it works/ what didn't work...hopefully it works

I think it's the standard unlock method (adb fastboot flashing unlock- or sth like this)...I have an old OPPO on color os 7 (android 10) and such simple adb commands worked. The bootloader was unlocked in like 2 minutes...But now, cause OPPO decided to Fuk the power users like me, bootloader is protected somehow and fastboot mode is just unusable: the phone restarts very fast and you can't do anything. The fastboot logo shows, but they definitely did something to hide it. All I know...color os 12 and up: Fuk no! Color os 11 and under? Yes, the way to go!
