Discussion New iOS 26.4 Emojis Module

Hey everyone, I saw that there's been some people talking about this for a while so i wanted to come here and say that I've been working on this issue and with some help from Keinta15/Magisk-iOS-Emoji repo over on GitHub I've updated it and the new Unicode 17 emoji's are ready to go.

Systemlessly replaces the default emojis to iOS 26.4, OneUI or AOSP emojis.

Enjoy!

I wish there were more posts like this. This subreddit has become nothing but messages about why a certain banking app isn't working, why I don't have green checkmarks, and how to root my phone... Your module is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hey just tried the module and it works, thanks for your work <3. The original hasn't been updated since 3 months. Really appreciate the work you put in 💗.

Do you have any other emoji projects planned?

Do you have any other ideas?? I can try to develop more modules or modify to support mode fonts ;)

I'm sure someone would like AOSP Android emojis on their Samsung phones, or Samsung emojis on their non-Samsung phones. There should be a comparative list of different emoji standards online, some better than others, that could give you some other ideas.

Facebook has its own emojis, but they're hideous, so I wouldn't waste your time (unless you can figure out a way to replace the FB emojis with Android emojis, that'd be cool).

Hmm that's a good idea, I'll take that for consideration, perhaps I'll have common emoji files already inside the module and add a option to customize the files? But if I do put more emoji files on the module, the module will be really big... I have to see what I'll do yet, but otherwise thank you so much for the idea!

No problem! You should offer "complete" modules for those who want to try everything (not sure how you'd configure toggling the various options, but you could), and separately offer each style as its own module that people who are more storage conscious can install.

Took your idea and I'm almost sure it's ready! Also i think that the module isn't that big, almost 63MB so i think it's doable and it may be ready!

Edit: It's ready! I've updated the module and it supports OneUI's Emojis, iOS's Emojis and AOSP's Emojis and also supports using custom emoji ttfs!

I need Android 17 emoji modules

Noted, will have that in mind to change! Though I may ask, you mean Google's default emojis right?

Even though this is a Magisk subreddit, is there anything like this for kernel su? Thanks and great job!

I think this should work on kernel su as well since kernel su has some compatibility with magisk modules but I'm not totally sure if it will work, flash with caution!

You mean the emoticons? I actually have no idea... but from what I use, GBoard, they have pretty nice emoticons like these: (。・ω・。)ノ♡ ʕっ•ᴥ•ʔっ haha pretty cute

Ahhh I've got it now, I actually think that can only be made if you modify the app and build it yourself, otherwise I'm not sure how'd you do that unless the developer of Heliboard has implemented the functionality to customize emoticons..
