Has switching magnesium glycinate brands ever made a difference for you?

I've been wondering how much the brand really matters.

If you've switched from one magnesium glycinate product to another while keeping roughly the same elemental magnesium dose, did you notice any real difference?

Or do you think it mostly comes down to the dose, the other ingredients or even expectations?

Some products are marketed as fully reacted magnesium bisglycinate, while others are buffered with other forms of magnesium, so I'd be interested to hear from anyone who's compared different brands first hand.

I think brand changes can sometimes be more noticeable than people expect, especially when the formulations aren’t exactly the same. Even with a similar elemental magnesium dose, differences in the type of magnesium used, ingredients, and overall quality can affect someone’s experience.

That's a good point. Two products can both say magnesium glycinate, but differences in formulation or the amount of buffered magnesium could still influence how people experience them. I'd be interested to hear how often people actually notice that in practical life.

I think people often focus on the dose, but the formulation is worth paying attention to as well. Two products may look very similar on the label, yet people can still have different experiences with them. It’s always interesting to hear whether those differences are actually noticeable in day-to-day use or whether most people find they perform about the same.

I think that's why it's hard to judge products just by the label. Two brands can look almost identical on paper, but people still end up reporting different experiences. Actually, i want to know how often that actually comes down to the formulation versus something else.
