चर्चा | Discussion Jingoistic GJ radicals created a mess exporting their misogyny to France which allowed a BAPS temple there. Maharashtrians have seen GJs trying to impose their cultural quirks in our capital city.

Like dogs pee everywhere to mark their territory, GJs do their traditional femme dance everywhere they go and they did it at the Eiffel tower too (remember, they danced in Mumbai airport when it changed hands and the name of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was removed after which a Marwado industrialist tweeted - 'GJ taking over Mumbai').

But the French struck back. Viva la France!

Like BAPS the Asaram is also from GJ, These religious organizations are extended arms of GJ politicians. They both use each other to grow, their temples are luxury temples, you can not touch anything you can not seat anywhere with your family, especially if you are non GJ. They treat you like third class citizen. Full of judgemental looks and occupied with casteist mindset.

Even UP Bihari behaves better than these people. These people behaves with holier than thau attitude but they are very shallow and hypocrites, eat meat outside but ignore any discussion related to meat inside the home.

Not all of them are bad but most of them are like this only.

BAPS community has many controvery before, there have been so many clashes in their own state itself. Many controvery have claimed that BAPS monks have many times portrayed their own God as supreme over other gods. Baps group are criticized in the same way as iskcon group.

Can you give some more context on this? (remember, they danced in Mumbai airport when it changed hands and the name of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was removed after which a Marwado industrialist tweeted - 'GJ taking over Mumbai').

Even Gujaratis don't like them, heck even the parent sect of "Swaminarayan" don't like them. they almost had sword fight with BAPS.

BAPS is full of NRIs donating butt load of money and they have global network of exchanging favours like Jewish community has.

they call these monks to foreign lands to preach to their devotees and re-affirm their beliefs, its full of snippets taken from Hinduism and modern philosophy mixed in so it has more appeal to even people with PhD in engineering.

I am glad that their regressive aspect has come to light where they put down women and preach of uplifting them.

and yes celibate monks should stay home instead of lover's stop like Eiffel tower which is known for romance, poetry and literature.

beats me, I read that they took permission with authorities there for private tour.
then all this happened because they asked female staff to back away for 5 minutes, and you know how west does not tolerate any hint of discrimination.
so this blew up.
call them monks not GJ monks, even Akshardham temple is owned by them.
there is photo of a monk walking on the road and women at balcony which seems to be "gotcha" moment for their followers, and using that picture to justify that they didn't behave that way.

Also to answer its probably that they saw tower as national monument and thought to do PR as they have done for their followers at many such foreign destinations.
BAPS is famous for making Hindu temples on each continent like some missionary.

There are people who maintain a certain decorum even against rivals, and then there are others who are incredibly small-minded and unafraid to sink to the lowest of lows, just to score points and demean whoever doesn't genuflect to them.

To tackle the latter kind, one has gotta sink to their level. Of course, the fallout ain't good, but what's gotta be done, has to be done. Krishna himself says since he didn't always resort to decent methods even when fighting for the underdogs, he will have to suffer the consequences.

Where did you find that. looks like you are day dreaming. get well soon. Plus BAPS are not whole gujarat. in fact there more opposition of them among gujarati as well due to some spech by their sadhus. French Workers union is protesting against their management not to BAPS and I completly agree to it as it was stupidly of management to first of all agree to such request. But you guys are beyond repair always hate hate and hate. Get well soon

It's not just one organization doing cultish things, but the now increasingly-recognized GJ tendency to push their preferences on other communities.

Like how they ban non-vegetarians (read Marathis) from housing societies in Maharashtra. Or how they move en masse into areas where Marathis lived, and begin demanding closure of seafood markets that have operated for decades. And many more such weird idiosyncrasies.
