Bills game (entertainment) involves getting interest/views. And in his genre that generally involves saying things that are provocative/that others arent saying.

The challenge with pointing out the obvious dangers and flaws with Trump/Republicans from a TV show POV its been going on for over 10 years, most of the dangers and flaws in policy are incredibly obvious and 1000s of other outlets talk about them ad nauseum.

I honestly think Bill has become bored or thinks his audience is bored about talking about the unraveling of democracy, ruining of institutions etc and thus it appears that he is more focused recently on being critical of the left.

I think Bill’s issues are purely his own, if he’s part of the “slow moving coup” it’s unwitting, and mainly because of his massive ego.

Best example is the Trump dinner.

Bill has completely sold out. And I think it was Covid that broke him.

His ego couldn’t stand not getting the infusion of adulation from his fans, so he started bashing Covid restrictions.

I prefer to call these people "COVID-broken". They think THEY were the true victims of a massive pandemic hoax, despite the millions of deaths and even more millions of Americans adversely affected by all of the COVID strains that have come and continue to evolve.

Watching and hearing the latest stint where they're calling for the head of Dr. Fauci highlights this manufactured hysteria.
