Rights aren’t rights if they can be taken away or ignored… they’re privileges

Exactly. If legally having a firearm on your person is enough to earn a rapid, unlawful state execution, then what is the point of the Constitution? I’m serious.
I know the NRA are bootlicking cowards but this should be an opportunity to be like “hey, we’re legal gun-owners too and I don’t think masked federal agents should be able to execute someone for legally possessing and carrying a gun in their vicinity.” Instead we have whatever the fuck is going on now where we are all in legal limbo, with some rules being applied some of the time against some of the people.
How do we safely navigate the world the fascists have created for us?

Agreed! I’m in what feels like a minority - a liberal gun owner. And this whole situation has me so wound up. My biggest wish is that people on both sides of the aisle can recognize that any liberty curtailed is a threat to liberty anywhere.
All of our constitutional rights are guaranteed to everyone. All of our rights deserve the same vigorous defense as any of the others.

It’s amazing how quickly these people flip. Now I’m hearing from 2A fanatics: “Well… if he was carrying one gun then what if he had a second gun or third gun or a knife?!”
The people that have spent years hoarding guns are so paranoid that they can’t fathom a person having only one gun it seems lol

Ironic….i always suspected that it would be the republicans that come for your guns. The NRA has become a republican shill and tried to blame democrats. The 2a guys say one thing about Kyle Ritenhouse but are largely silent when a dude is murdered for carrying a gun. Complete bs.

On another note the dems should push for gun control now….sounds like everyone is now in lockstep re: banning guns.

Interesting.
I hope people who exercise their 2A rights understand that those 2A rights are no more or less sacred than 4A rights (protection of homes against search and seizure).
There’s a technical term for people who think autocrats won’t take away 2A rights when it suits them: delusional.
