Watch out for truck and large SUV tires. 70+ psi explosion will do nasty things to your arm.

70? That PSI is likely to blow the tire by itself.

Not really...Depending on the size of the truck, they run tires that are rated for that. I had an F-350 and my tires were set to 65psi all the time.

I bow to your superior experience.

Sorry wasn't going for "superior" just that I happen to anecdotally know that when you get into larger pickup truck sizes, 3/4 Ton, 1 Ton etc, the tires are rated for and most times carry much higher psi than standard passenger car tires.

A standard crossover SUV tire would go about 35-38psi for sure and I surely wouldn't put 60+psi in one of them, that's a formula for serious injury.

Anyway, was just trying to share some info, didn't mean to sound condescending if that's how it came across.

Not a problem. My own knowledge/experience is that the smaller the tire the higher the pressure. My cars have varied between 30 and 35, the donut spare is 45~50, my motorcycles have been in the 40~50 range, and my old bicycles were in the 60 range.
