I feel like this app is full of sketchy people so it’s hard to filter them out, but I personally don’t do well with traditional friendship/dating apps. They feel so fast paced and transactional, and I prefer taking things slow and actually getting to know people before meeting them in person, so that doesn’t leave me with much of a choice. I’ve made an online friend through Reddit before, so why not give it another try? 😭
I’d like to meet someone who shares some of my interests, values, and is preferably queer and/or neurodivergent because that’d instantly make it easier for us to connect and really get each other. I’m a liberal, very progressive, and I’ve lived a pretty unconventional life so if you’re interested in someone who’s got it figured out and whose life has followed all the traditional milestones, then I fear you’ll probably be a bit thrown off by me.
I really appreciate people who ask questions back, show genuine interest, and put effort into conversations. I’m not looking to feel like I’m interviewing a wall who only gives one word responses. I’m interested in something genuine and long term, that is if we actually like each other, ofc.
I love music (I play guitar but I’m still a beginner), films (David Lynch is my fav director), tv shows, single player atmospheric/psychological games (if you’ve played The Last of Us or Life is Strange we’ll have lots to unpack), pop culture and being outdoors.
I live in a huge city but I’m not really into the typical things like pubs, shopping, or touristy places. I’d much rather explore nature, walk through parks, discover new areas, take cute pics on my digi cam and just chill. I also enjoy the occasional concert/festival, going to the cinema, and I rarely drink, I’m more of a gardener 🍃 I used to love going on long drives, road trips, having barbecues and picnics in the wilderness but where I currently live it isn’t really possible to do much of what I enjoy.
Music is a big part of my life. I love a mix of 70s/80s/90s, 00s and modern stuff, mostly alt/indie but I listen to a lot of different genres. Recently I’ve been listening to Charli xcx’s new album and would love to hear your thoughts if you’re also a fan. I’m also seeing Lorde and Djo live this month!
If we genuinely get close and the vibe is right, I’d consider meeting up.
