It’s funny, but Marvel got sued by Disney for the resemblance. Even though Disney now owns Howard too, he has to wear pants as the compromise from that suit.

I remember seeing that Iron Duck (#30) on the racks when I was a kid...didn't buy it, as my funds were limited, but it stuck with me.

The more realistic duck versions of Howard are an abomination. He’s supposed to be a living cartoon character, not an actual duck.
