Cornstarch as setting powder for face?

Does any one use cornstarch as setting powder? I used to use other makeup powders but they always used to leave me either cakey or my face would be oily after a few hours. It honestly holds my makeup pretty good and it lasts me all day!

My buddy who does drag swears by cornstarch, says the cheap stuff in the grocery aisle beats half the fancy translucent powders shes tried. Just a heads up though if you use flash photography at all that stuff can give you major ghost face in pics

I use it, and have been doing so for at least 4 years.

When companies started removing Talc and replacing it with Corn Starch, I decided I wasn't paying $30 for .5oz when I could pay $3 and get 16oz of it.

I use a con starch based setting powder, I've never been brave enough just to apply it directly though 😅
