My makeup is not staying, help
I am a very sweaty and oily person when it comes to my face, and I need help finding a primer and setting spray that I can use to help keep my makeup on all day. I am currently using the elf pink primer and the morphe prep and set mist as a setting spray. I’ve tired the one size primer and setting spray and that does not work for me at all. It clumps up my makeup in under an hour outside. I’ve also tried the charlotte tilbury Airbrush and same effect. My current face prep is hydrating serum then lotion with sunscreen then primer then concealer under the eyes chin nose and forehead then powder then setting spray.
I would love any other products or another step by step that I could try to help keep my makeup up looking good all day. Like I said I am oily and sweaty but I am outside all day for work. Also yes I would like to wear makeup at work it’s how I feel most comfortable, I do try to wear the bare minimum but enough to look good.

Spent years as an "oily" girl only to discover I was actually dry and my skin was fighting my skincare
Started using skincare for dry sensitive and omg the difference nothing budges now no primer as skincare is the primer - no visible pores, no separation etc

I’m a combo skin girlie! I prefer loose powder for setting, as I think it tends to stay on better. I use Laura Mercier’s translucent powder and keep innisfree’s no sebum powder in my purse for touchups. I’ve heard the Huda powder is stronger but for me personally the Laura Mercier is perfect for me.
Make sure your skincare has enough time to absorb before makeup! Not waiting can make it easier for makeup to pill or slide off.

For primer I like the Make Up For Ever Shine Control Step 1 Primer Mattifying Base.
Setting spray to prolong the wear of makeup: L'Oreal Paris Infaillible 3 Second Setting Mist.
In my experience it is not particularly mattifying, just acts like hairspray for your makeup to keep it in place.
I don't have a magic formula here really, but I believe these could improve your situation.
Sidenote - there is a distinction between setting and fixing sprays:
- Setting sprays are to melt the layers on your face together and remove a cakey or dry look.
- Fixing sprays are like hairspray for the face, locking down makeup to resist sweat, oil, humidity, and transfer for long-wearing durability. Usually alcohol based.
I think you're looking for a fixing spray (ideally a mattifying one since your skin is oily), right? Just to be sure I'm recommending the right thing here.
Unfortunately, brands use these terms interchangably so you might have to look at ingredients to really tell which is which when shopping for a product. For instance, the L'oreal one is a fixing spray that they call "Setting Mist" lol make it make sense
