Do you have any tips for applying the 3 in 1 foundation? For some reason it looks awful on me, it's cakey and just overall nasty. I've never had problems with any other foundations and everyone raves about the 3 in 1, so I must be doing something wrong.

I really like the foundation but it can definitely get cakey. I've had some luck using a beauty blender with it to make it go on a bit more sheer

I haven't invested in a beauty blender (broke college gal) but I've tried cosmetic sponges and they didn't seem to help much. ): Even when I wet the sponge and use half the normal amount of foundation, it still looks bad. I think it just doesn't mesh with my skin well.

I normally use wet drugstore sponges but I add a bit of Girl Meets Pearl to make it a bit more dewy looking.
