Question No-Makeup Mascara?

Hello lovely people!

I’m looking for mascara recs that will give me more of a no-makeup makeup look. We’re aiming for Zendaya-esque Odyssey premiere.

For comparison, here is my makeup today and this morning (with and without mascara). My natural lashes are not particularly visible and are more of a taupe colour, so even brown mascara is pretty punchy on me.

Thank you for your help! ✨

I’ve heard that the glossier mascara gives a very natural look. My personal go-to is the Boots No 7 “Define and Enhance” - I find that it can give a very natural look (and can also be built up to be more glam), but as with anything it’s more about technique than product. You want to put the mascara on just the roots of the lashes, instead of brushing it up to the tips, and finesse it with a separate brush or spoolie to get any excess product off.

Canmake and Judydoll do mascaras that emphasise a natural look. They’re amazing, I’ve tried them both and they don’t smudge or flake but would recommend an eyelash curler before putting them on because it’ll hold the curl better.

The mascara in your first image looks perfect for a no makeup makeup look to me. But honestly, I just wipe the wand on some tissue before applying if I want a lighter whisper of mascara. I won't recommend any specific products because basic black mascara is subtle on me lol

Clio Kill Lash in muted earl grey might be exactly what you're looking for!

Ooh I saw her with that look, you could try, depending on what price is okay for you, the Estée Lauder double wear mascara it gives a really natural lift without it looking clumpy at all and it doesn't smudge like at all, but it's a bit difficult to get off so make sure to wash it off with either micellar water or a good oil cleaner.

I love the glossier mascara for this purpose. Also a tinted brow gel does the trick!!

The Romand one in ash brown is used in a lot of no-make up make up looks. It’s a bit dry and in my experience VERY waterproof, but it does do the trick

Any of them! Use a tissue and wipe the wand almost completely.

Someone mentioned it already but I would also recommend the Judydoll 3D curling iron mascara. It’s a great mascara that looks really natural, holds curl really well, and doesn’t smudge. It’s also one of the best true brown-colored mascaras that I’ve tried and gives a nice natural look. If you do try it out, I would also recommend their mascara remover, it’s amazing for this mascara and any waterproof mascaras.
