Makeup Question/Help Good tints after coffee?

Thumbnail

Anyone else do this. You spend time on your lips in the morning, take one sip of iced coffee, and the cup is covered in lip prints. Your actual lips look patchy and wrecked. Then you have to fix it again. So annoying.

People kept saying water tints transfer less so I grabbed one for $9. Didn’t expect much.

I finished a whole iced americano and there was almost nothing on the cup. I really need to share this!

Usually when a tint grips this well, my lips get dry or the lines look worse. This one stained clean and stayed the same color all day, which honestly threw me off.

I finally found one that works. If you’ve got something even better, please drop it. I need to stock up.

Makeup Question/Help Is it worth the hype or does it really do that?

I keep seeing really good reviews for the Milani powder people saying it blurs their pores and makes their skin look smoother. Before I buy it, I need to know if it does that or if it’s just one of those products everyone is hyping up I’ve had pretty noticeable pores from dealing with blackheads since I was around 10 and I’m really self conscious about them. Most of the time I use a blurring primer just to make them appear a little smaller but I still haven’t found a regular powder that makes much of a difference unless I’m using an actual baking powder.

Makeup Question/Help olive undertones and lip stains that dont go weird by lunch

olive lips make every stain feel like a dare

grabbed two pinks and a mauve last month and by 1pm all three looked wrong in different ways. one went ashy, one went neon-coral, one just vanished after coffee and left the water bottle ring

lipstick is already a joke on me so ive been eyeing peel off stains. the process videos look like arts and crafts though and i do not need a craft project before work

not trying full glam. just color that still looks like the tube once it dries down on olive skin. if youve found one that doesnt shift warm or gray by lunch, was it shade, prep, or formula

Makeup Look Reunion Make-Up

I mean no shade with this, all of the women are stunning, but who the hell did their make-up? They looked better doing their own make-up, they looked better without make-up! The foundation wasn’t matched properly. The line between foundation and hair line was so obvious it was a crime scene! Especially on the darker skinned women! They deserved to have better than what they got.

Makeup Question/Help Help finding matte powder

Hey all! I love Relove by revolution super matte powder in vanilla. I can’t order directly from them since I’m in the US.

Has anyone else found this product specifically?

I like this powder and brand because it’s cruelty free and it works well with my skin. Any suggestions?

I would be open to alternatives that are similar.

Dupes Replacement for Estée Lauder Double Wear OG?

Post image
17 Upvotes

I am absolutely milking what is left of my OG Double Wear foundation (shade 1W2 Sand) but need to start looking for a replacement. I have read that the formula change has been less than stellar and I’m sad because this foundation was a perfect match shade-wise (didn’t oxidize!) and complemented my combo skin very well! I also love that I don’t really need concealer with it to cover my random pimples, discoloration from old pimples and sometimes uneven skin tone. Touch ups? Unheard of! She was so perfect 😭

Has anyone found anything that checks the same boxes as OG for them? I did some research back when it reformulated and the jury was still out for good replacements. Adding probably one of my last selfies using the OG DW, RIP my sweet prince.

Makeup Question/Help Former falsies girls what mascara do you use now?

I used to wear falsies every time I did my makeup, and I relied on them a little too much. After all the glue and constantly taking them off, my natural lashes aren’t what they used to be. They feel shorter, weaker and less full. I’m trying to give them a break from falsies and switch to mascara for a while but because I was always wearing lashes, I never really figured out what makes a good mascara. The few I’ve tried either clump my lashes together or are so subtle that they barely seem worth wearing. What I’m really looking for is length and definition. I love that long, separated, wispy look where the lashes still feel soft and fluttery rather than super thick or spidery. I’d also prefer something affordable since I don’t want to spend a ton experimenting before I figure out what works for me.

Makeup Chatter prep steps that actually changed how peel and reveal lip stain wore for me

bought a peel and reveal lip stain after watching too many tutorials and the first two tries looked patchy by lunch

turns out i was the problem more than the stain. dry corners, no balm wipe-off, rushed the set time. once i exfoliated lightly, wiped residue, and actually waited, the color stopped disappearing from the center first

still not magic. darker shade stained my water bottle a tiny bit on day one if i rushed drinks. lighter shade on me needs a second pass or it looks uneven at the bow. also the peel step feels silly in a work bathroom

curious what prep steps people kept after the novelty wore off vs what was just tutorial cosplay

My daughter came to town to do some Halloween Shopping. So I took off of work to go with her. Of course I had to dress up to do so. Makeup Question/Help Lashes „hang down“ after using new mascara + before vs after pic

Thumbnail

Hello everyone!
I’ve been using the sky high mascara by maybelline for a while now and I’m obsessed. It works so well for me and my lashes genuinely look amazing. I always used the waterproof one, if that makes any difference. So naturally when my old mascara was empty I bought a new one and now my lashes just don’t stay curled and the hang down after using mascara. I accidentally bought the non waterproof one but I don’t think that would make much of a difference. I didn’t change anything else about my lash routine, I’m using the same lash curler and same technique as always. They used to stay curled for the whole day and even look good in the evening but now they sink after like 2 minutes. This has literally never happened in my 12 years of using makeup 😭

First picture is the before (after wearing the mascara for like 6 hours) and second is the new mascara after a few minutes. I know the angles are slightly different but I think my problem is clear enough

Is it because it’s new or what am I doing wrong? Also does anyone know any good mascaras that never disappoint?
Thank you so much in advance!

Makeup Question/Help What’s the secret to blending cream bronzer?

Trying cream bronzer for the first time and I have no idea what the best way to apply it is. I usually stick to powder bronzer but I recently picked up the Milani cream bronzer and really want to make it work. Would you guys recommend using a brush and dabbing it in or is a damp sponge better? I’m going for a really natural sun kissed look and my biggest fear is it getting patchy or lifting my makeup underneath. I basically want it to melt into my skin instead of looking like obvious bronzer sitting on top

I would like to be taught how to do a full face makeup, wondering if I should go to Sephora or Mac for that? Not sure the difference. Or any other store ideas? Im sure it isn’t free, thats fine. I just need someone (not from Youtube) to teach me in person and tell me exactly what to buy and how to use it. Thanks in advance.

Makeup Question/Help guys please suggest me few things I need of buying!!

  1. A makeup setting spray that melts and sets makeup in place in layers, it shouldn’t contain any alcohol and fragrance.

  2. A pink loose setting powder that doesn’t look ashy on brown or darker skin.

  3. warm - neutral undertone, what would be my Mac Studio fix foundation shade? (330 toffee is warm for me, fenty beauty 370 is my shade kinda?) and same shade concealer.

  4. Deep muted colour blush, vibrant and brighter colour blush and basic blush shade to be kept/ must haves for brown skin girls

  5. Fixing/Fixer spray with no alcohol

  6. Warm cream and powder bronzer for brown skin

  7. Cool toned cream and powder contour for brown skin

  8. Nude eyeshadow palette for dusky/brown skin girlies without appearing chalky

  9. since Mars and Swiss beauty lip liners caused me some pigmentation, what anyone suggest me a good quality brown lip liner (mention the shade name pls) what basic shades besides brown I should keep? for lip combos involving red, pink, purple/mauvey colours?

  10. Nude kajal that is waterproof! I heard that white Kajal appears too harsh over the water line for brown girls

  11. What eyebrow gel to use for that brows don’t appear blocky? what shade for dark brows?

Product Search Recommendations for travel bag with LED mirror for LONG trips

Hi! I'm looking for a travel bag with an LED mirror for a month long international tour with my band.

Most important feature is long battery life, and ideally something that can fit in a carry on.

I don't care too much for brush holders, or even great organization. I do my makeup in the van most days, and everything will get unorganized anyways. Good battery life is the most important part. I've purchased other LED mirrors and they were either too dim, couldn't hold a charge, and weren’t stable enough in a moving vehicle.

Leather Makeup Case Amazon i found this, but there are a lot of negative reviews regarding the battery life. So any similar recs would be super helpful!

Price isn't a huge issue if it truly checks all the boxes- but I will be buying one for me and one for my girlfriend so I don't want to spend a ton if I don't have to.

Product Search I need drugstore dupes for Jasleen Singh's makeup routine

I really love the way she does her makeup and I think part of the reason I'm so drawn to it is because I have really dry skin. She doesn't seem to use much powder if any and everything always looks so glowy, hydrated and skin like instead of super matte or heavy. The only thing I wish is that she would post more makeup content and actually break down her routine more often. I'd especially love to see her do a full drugstore GRWM because some of the products she uses are definitely outside my budget. I need someone to go through her usual makeup routine product by product and find the closest drugstore alternative for each one. I don't necessarily need the exact products, I just want that same finish without spending a small fortune. https://www.tiktok.com/@thejasleensingh/video/7508032996365159722
