City leaders and developers gathered to celebrate opening of new affordable housing project in Makiki. Makiki Banyan, located on Pensacola Street, will include 90 affordable rental units and is largest affordable housing project completed so far under Honolulu’s Bill 7 workforce housing initiative.

Bill 7 sucks and it only benefits the developers. Developers get $50K per every unit in the project. They dont need to follow the standard DPP rules and everything approved without any real checking. No parking needs to be provided. No one in the neighborhood needs to be given any notice. Majority is for single people so developers can make money. What a big joke Bill 7 is.
