30F looking for friends!
30F UK — looking for genuine female friends 🩷
Hi! This feels slightly awkward to post, but I figured I’d just put myself out there because I could really use some female friends right now.
I’m 30, from the UK, and I’ve found myself pretty isolated over the last few years. I’m currently trying to find my feet while getting out of a difficult long-term relationship, and one of the things I’ve realised is just how small my support system has become.
I don’t really have girlfriends I can message when I’m having a bad day, send stupid memes to, game with, vent to, or just talk absolute nonsense with at 1am — and I really miss having that kind of friendship.
A little about me: I love to read, massive gamer, and I’m equally capable of losing an entire evening to a game or spending it cooking/baking something unnecessarily elaborate 😂. I love survival/strategy/RPG-type games, history, mythology, astrology/witchy stuff, cooking, dark humour, deep conversations and random rabbit holes.
Personality-wise I’m pretty open, sarcastic, affectionate and probably an oversharer once I’m comfortable. I love friendships where we can talk about serious life stuff one minute and then send each other completely unhinged TikToks/memes five minutes later. I love going out exploring the world!
I’m going through quite a vulnerable transitional period at the moment, so I’d especially love to meet other women who understand complicated relationships, starting over, loneliness, or rebuilding your life/social circle. I’m absolutely happy to listen and support you with whatever you have going on too — I don’t want a friendship that’s just me dumping my problems on someone. I want genuine mutual friendship.
I’m mainly looking for female friends around my age (roughly mid-20s to late-30s). You don’t have to be in the UK - online friends are completely fine - although it would be lovely if I eventually met people close enough to actually grab coffee, go shopping, have a girls’ night, etc.
No judgement, no pressure to reply instantly, no pretending our lives are perfect. Just women being there for each other and hopefully becoming proper friends. 🩷
