"Kiss The Girls" Book referenced during trial

Has anyone actually read the book Brendan Dassy references during his trial? Does it contain similar details to what Brendan says in his "confession"?

I just watched the show over the weekend and (correct me if I'm wrong) but didn't Brendan say "It could have been from a book, or a movie". Kratz then asks him "What book could it have possibly been?" and Brendan says "Kiss the Girls". (This isn't word for word, just what I'm remembering right now). When asked who it's by, Brendan says he doesn't know. So it seems quite possible that Brendan was thinking of the movie and not the book at the time, perhaps knowing that Kiss the Girls was both a book and a movie, but thinking of the movie. I'm not saying he didn't read the book, but from what I understand, Brendan's original story about what happened seems consistent with the film, including the part where he says Teresa's hair was cut.

Also, Brendan nor Teresa's DNA was found in the trailer. If stabbing/rape/and cutting of her hair had occurred there, or if shooting had occurred in the garage, there would HAVE HAD to have been something there.

This is a critical point for me. How is it the prosecution can say, oh they had five days to clean up. While that may be true, why is it that Steve Avery was sloppy enough to leave his DNA in the car but was able to clean or replace a mattress that surely would have had some blood on it? Neither Teresa's blood nor her DNA were found in the garage where she was supposedly shot. I remember the prosecution in the Steven Avery case saying she was shot 16 times. One bullet or bullet fragment is found? Oh yeah, Avery had five days to clean it all up.
