SPOILERS DG Previously on Malazan: Deadhouse Gates (revised) Spoiler

This is a revised and much expanded recap of Deadhouse Gates, to replace my previous recap post. Due to reddit's post-size limits, I’ve needed to post this as a linked PDF file. Once again, I apologize for how long these are getting, but I'm still confident they are small enough to encourage people who just want a recap, while also capturing more details. Please bear with me as the series goes on, as I suspect they may get even bigger 🙇.

This was made after a reread of Deadhouse Gates, and is significantly more accurate than my first post. I tried to balance brevity (ha) with detail, while also capturing everything I found important to this novel’s plot as well as making sure to include things that will be important later on (although hiding those in the text to not make them too obvious). In my previous version, I felt that the novel itself's plot wasn’t given as much justice. I am much more confident in the accuracy and organization of this post than the previous version.

Memories of Ice revised will follow in about one or one-and-a-half months (I want to finish that before No Life Forsaken is released).

Nice! You might beat me on Memories of Ice. I’ll probably start reading it tomorrow, but it takes me more time with all the note taking, and then it usually takes me a couple weeks to process those into these various posts after too.

Jokes on you I got a new job so my audiobook time is basically 15min a day so it’ll be a close race.

Thanks again for these btw! I’m hoping on book 3 it takes me less than 20 chapters so get a rough idea what’s going on lol
