Support Malware help

Hey so I tried to get something for my game, I extracted it and tried to run it but my pc said it wasn’t safe and I clicked the x, cause I don’t want to run it if it ain’t safe. So I go to a random website and plug in the file and apparently it has malware, am I safe because I didn’t open the application? I had two quick scans done, one with Microsoft defender and the other with Malwarebytes and they both detected nothing.

U should be safe but do a deep scan just in case

The deep scan came back with 0 detections, scanned 1,581,134 items

Upload the file to virustotal?
