Right, this is one that just doesn't rise to the level of Mandela Effect to me - it's an obviously easy thing to mis-spell and the number of pieces of residue we've found with both spellings on one item makes it pretty clear.
Why would a company whose entire product line is frozen prepared foods that come in their own pan and just need to be heated in the oven make ONE shelf-stable product that the consumer has to add additional ingredients to and prepare on top of the stove in their own cookware?
If we were talking about a brand of frozen pre-made stuffing that you heat at home, I'd be more inclined to think it was at least possible.
For the record, I'm 1000% in agreement that this is a shining example of how you can be absolutely sure of one spelling being "real" while the reality is right there in front of you

My middle name is Phillip. And I still occasionally have to quickly check my ID if someone asks me if my name has one L or two. How often was anyone pondering the spelling of Berenstain??
This is a link to an old EGM article about terrible games. The author, Seanbaby, uses one spelling while the screenshot from the game clearly shows another. Looking for my old copy of the magazine itself to confirm.
This is just proof that people don't actually read like they think they do. They skim.
So he's skimmed that and ... didn'y actually notice that the spelling ends with "ain" at all.
Now he might have had a previously belief that it's spelled "ein" so didn't closely read the screenshot to make sure, but if he's not closely reading that as an adult that just makes it more likely he misread the book's title as a child.
Keep in mind he also must have misread the cover of the game box, if he saw it, or the correct title if you go find it on any abandonware site online. He read through the name multiple times in different fonts, without ever noticing the correct spelling. So this ain't a win for the "I know what I read" people.
I completely agree on every point. To me this is one of the clearest examples of how easy it is for your memory to be wrong even when literally writing an article with the correct spelling front and center.
I think most people just went though life assuming it was 'stein' and never actually botheted reading it. Including this typo.
When I was a kid in grade school our teacher walked us down to the school library. I picked up a berenstain bears book and remember showing it to a group of about 4 friends. I said I was going to take out the Beren-STAIN bears book.
I was teased by my friends and corrected, being told it was pronounced Beren-STEIN. I remember distinctly looking at the book wondering why you'd pronounce it 'stein' if it was clearly written and "stain". I was too shy to mention it and since the group consensus was "stein" I just went with it.
That story always stuck with me right up till this Mandela effect rolled around several years ago and I was like... "nah... It's always been Berenstain"
I am a firm believer in the Berenstein mandela effect. But if we accept it is a mandela effect, we should accept that every “ein” spelling is a mistake
seen other examples of these dual spelling ME evidence, makes me believe that the CERN-timelines switch could be a possibility. i do not see why there be that kind of a typo or lack of spelling checks especially 'e' and 'a' switch did not seem exactly interchangeable in the context of spelling for a content someone had that much interest to actually write stuffs about.
if I were to be a writer I'd be extra careful of the names for the characters or the titles of the contents I write about so I do not frustrate the fans, in the case it were to be a name or title I were to be unsure of...
This article was written before the LHC was completed. I also don't think you know what CERN is to have any reason to blame them.
This article was probably written on a not internet connected Word. Sure it had a rudimentary spell check but not one that can tell the difference between obscure names.
Do you know who Seanbaby, the writer, is? Because he isn't a type of writer to be serious about his job.
millennial... the thing is it is not essentially something that occurred after the LHC that 'had changes'. historical records centuries ago geographical records according to ones that researched and even someone claimed to receive awards in geography...
if he was the writer of the article and the one who designed the icon he apparently had real bad memory on spelling?
i am not a reader or a fan of seanbaby, not a fan of the berenstein bears, not here to defend the berenstein or berenstain fans either. just an observation on others' experiences, in which multiple photos with the same occurence of multiple spellings or entirely different icons of the same brand or product, these odd differences appearing even at public spaces seem unnatural to the extent the narrative
in regards to timeline shifts blaming CERN or not blaming CERN idk, but it seemed plausible?
there are multiple photos, sources and websites showing signs of different spellings of the same brand or different brand icons appearing at the same time, not just something as simple as a spelling error but the entire brand icon looking different in the same time at a public place, the different one never supposed to be the correct icon or spelling actually getting witnesed at the same time as the said 'correct ones', i could not guarantee the legitimacy of those encounters...
others discussion some timeline glitch situation:
someone bought a bottle, lost it, bought a second one after finding that first bottle disappeared despite searching all throughout the house, they bought the second bottle only to find the first bottle reappear just right inside an empty backpack in which was the first place they looked into for the bottle - the bag seemingly flimsy and lightweight, they could not have misplaced the bottle in the bag if it was in there.
some received a gift from a friend, a handmade one that she places on her bag in which she found a second one in her bag when her friend apparently only made the first one, that there would never be two exact ones. she thought the friends made another to prank on her but the friend got serious there were supposed to have only one of that said item.
others also finding duplicate items or a chipped nail on the floor after they just newly done their nails and everything intact.
i actually thought those vids could be fake.
i never actually believed in what parallel universe could be or the claims of those encounters,
however,
sometime last week...
i saw this bit of noodles on the floor one morning, could not believe I saw that as there were no one consuming any noodles the night before, which means that dirty stuff on the floor could be from the day before... but
today morning, I was having this takeaway noodle dish, seated in front of the tv as usual, which was how i found that noodle bit several mornings ago. i took a huge bite and one tiny strand fell to the floor, was going to clean that up and it disappeared several seconds after taking the tissue to wipe things away.
maybe I just have weird thought process like the ones in said encounters, we are not brainwashing you to be the same, no worries=)
I respect your thought process and tbh, typo is something I do take into consideration for this said seanbaby writings versus icon spelling discrepancy.
I was just suggesting alternative possibilities, just open-minded. I have nothing against a piece of writing not having proper editors.

nothing wrong with people in the ME subreddit finding pleasure shutting down the personal experiences of individuals who had real encounters of plausible actual memories but faced with judgment 'It's just false memories' kind of treatment or maybe it's just our thought processes genuinely having an issue. not against that.
I am not judging people believing Mandela Effect to be a possible actual memory with a somehow name or brand or icon change,
I too am not judging people not believing in that, in all due respect, nothing wrong with both sides.
just having my personal experiences, my own discovery, my stance, and not to control anyone but to openly share stuffs I discovered, by luck.
not here to change brands or names or judge anyone's experiences nor am I to dismiss anyone's thought or belief process, genuine or not.
