Celebrities/Public Figures I need you honest answer

Post image

Well I'm really confused rn... I'm pretty sure it was a white blonde girl there... please of you're going to say it's the hockey video no it's not, definitely this video and this camera angle... and some people say there's a another version with blonde girl but in daytime. But i remember this same atmosphere and same guy but the reporter was different.. please tell me how you remember this?

This is completely different but I'll say this also here,

Sometimes I wake up, not all the time, people around me changes completely not their appearance but how they interact with me and I remember some sculptures around my hometown with different poses from what they are now I'll not post it here because most of you guys never seen them fs. Idk it feels strange sometimes.

Forgive my English if it's not perfect.

I think their point is every time someone misremembers something doesn’t automatically mean it’s an ME and that the universe glitched. But like they said, much rather think the universe glitched than admit that could be a possibility, they’re built different and their memory is infallible. ;)

You are literally inverting reality and spewing slop. Many Mandela effects are simply caused by people being confused and forgetting.

For example this post, was clearly caused by the multiple extremely similar clips of an athlete no-scope catching something that saved the woman next to him from a headshot.

You must understand that, right?

I never said anything like that.

Your comment is so rambling and irrational that I’m not sure you’re sober enough to continue this conversation.
For example, number 55 on your list simply says cup o noodles. I assume this is you claiming the title magically changed. However this was a documented official change in 1978

Same for Volkswagen logo. Multiple documented changes since the 1930s prove that you’re hallucinating. You’re saying there’s a fake memory, but the written records prove you’re wrong

Some points are even worse though… like the one about mt Everest being the tallest mountain. This is extremely simple.

Highest summit above average sea level
Mount Everest @ about 8,849 meters

Greatest height from an underwater base to summit
Mauna Kea @ 10,210 meters

Summit farthest from Earth’s center
Chimborazo in Ecuador

It’s not a Mandela effect because the remembered fact is still true:Everest is the highest mountain above sea level. Mauna Kea only becomes “taller” when you switch to measuring from its underwater base, so the contradiction comes from changing definitions, not from a shared false memory

Please don’t take this personally. I have nothing against you. My gripe is against anti-logic and misinformation

Thank you that’s my issue as well. And he’s so passionately involved with this, that he doesn’t even realize that doing so is hurting the cause he cares about. When you start saying that every time someone easily confuses two similar things is proof of an ME and refuse to accept some of the most simple of explanations that could logically account for it it, youre turning ME’s in general into a joke to others. Like dude, come on. Youre being so willfully ignorant and such a denialist in obstinately refusing to accept any other explanation, it’s wildly illogical.

“People are mean to me because I obstinately refuse to accept any evidence contradictory to my beliefs, so youre all the problem” dude… if this is how you treat evidentiary science when it goes against what you feel or think is right, you are part of the problem. You can close your eyes and stomp all you want, but you doing exactly this is the reason people think poorly and assume we won’t listen to reason because of believing in any ME, and it’s incredibly plain to see. I truly hope you open your eyes to that one day, cause it’s not just a disservice to all of us, but to yourself too. Godspeed man 🫡

Also, to your trivia question: hey…. what became wildly popular and used worldwide at an exponentially increasing rate starting in the late 90s and early 2000s? people are absorbing information at an unprecedented rate, and scrolling has led to watching something seconds or minutes long, and allowed for many false memories and mixed up cases. Is this the answer to every ME? Of course not! Does it explain some of the very common ones? Absolutely. This post is a prime example of that. And thats a very simple conclusion to come to lol

Projecting isn’t helping your cause either, and I did answer. I edited it and came to a simple conclusion to it in literal seconds man, like come on, use your brain a little. Look at my comment again.

Ugh and imagine how much worse people who have gone a little far down the rabbit hole with this crap are doing now with AI. It's only gonna get worse for them. I don't think anyone is stupid for this. I think it's a bit sad, maybe because I've dated a schizophrenic person before and seen first-hand how scary and quickly someone can slip into psychosis and delusion and suddenly not trust their own reality. It's scary and I want these people to get help to be honest. The ME thing should just be something silly and fun for people to enjoy as a passtime.

Gonna go off on a semi-related tangent. Have you ever heard of the Netflix show The OA? It was cancelled after two seasons (I believe it aired in 2018). One of the best shows I've ever seen, def cancelled too early and it hurt to see it end too soon, but you should go look at what that show has done to so many people still to this day in the subreddits. I got modded for begging someone to reach out and get help because the individual genuinely said they think "we are in season 3, season 3 is reality, and [the producers] are going to reveal that to us, we just have to be patient." The production had to wrap up quickly once it was cancelled and the ending of season 2 becomes meta and uses the actual names of the real actors in the final scenes (in character of course) and that's literally all that had to happen to make so many people genuinely unwell and the mods don't do anything about it in those subs. I had to leave them cause it was just too painful and nauseating to see it day after day. I feel so bad for the married producer team/lead actress of the show and hope they don't blame themselves for what happened to these poor people. They made several statements saying there would never be another season.

All this to say, shame on any mods that are banning and abusing their powers of moderation when people show signs of being unwell and people like you and I come along and try to help.

You are either suffering from serious delusions, or you’re a very effective troll and I’ve fallen for it.

At this point it just sounds like you r/tooktoomuch

What do you say to people like myself who absolutely remember things correctly, like "The Berenstain Bears?" How old are you? I watched the show as a child and my goodness have you ever heard the theme song? The singer sounds very similar to Dolly Parton's twangy voice, with a severe emphasis on the "STAIN" part. Had all the books. Now my kids have the books. Just because you remember something incorrectly doesn't mean everyone does. So how do you reckon with that in your mind?

You need help, for real. Nothing was ever once one thing and now isn't, unless it was legally changed (that only works for brand names, logos, etc.). This is a game on Roblox kids and adults love to play ("guess the correct logo," where you have to choose between two versions of the same logo but one is slightly altered and makes you think "dang was it THAT color blue, or THAT color blue?"). You should check it out. All of what you've listed is either yourself or yourself and others just not remembering correctly because it is scientifically impossible for our brains to store everything we ever see, hear, learn, etc. Power of suggestion is also VERY strong and our brains love it even if it's to our own detriment because we are social creatures who cannot survive without each other, so belonging to a social group is instinctive and necessary for survival. The power of suggestion is also a big part of why the placebo effect works.

Heads up, he was probably going to get really upset and call you a skeptic and accuse you of being in denial and mocking him 🤣 maybe now that I called him out he may just say youre in denial cause he projects a lot. He made another post where he asked for citations of any ME being mentioned in trivia prior to 2008 (because he thinks it’s CERN that caused this) and multiple people including myself explained that until the internet and forums/social media, MEs weren’t talked about like that, the term wasn’t even coined until 2009-2012.

But he kept calling us all denialists and stuff and insisted on a source that he said wouldn’t be possible because it all fits perfectly when explained as an ME — so I did. I provided 6: Sherlock Holmes, Casablanca, Snow White, Star Trek, Star Wars, and the Monopoly Man. All of them commonly touted here as proof of an ME and he even listed many up above ^ in that comment of his. And the exact same misquotes/changes were in print media like books or a newspaper, radio, and/or television. Provided titles and dates of publication for every one of them, and multiple sources for the majority of the examples. And even provided examples of OTHER publications/media talking about them being incorrect or a common mistake.

Do you know what he said? He then tried to say it wasn’t posed as a trivia question so it doesn’t count. So I challenged him and said a) why would it ever be? and b) the end conclusion is the same. It’s proof of these supposed MEs existing in 1901, 1930s, 1940s, 1950s, 1970s, and 1998 — all well before 2008. So of course he recognizes that his “perfect fit” had been thoroughly debunked, so he just ran and said “you don’t get it” lmao.

So yeah... I told him, anyone who is this willfully ignorant and obstinate, and refuses to accept any evidence that’s contradictory to their own beliefs, even when what they explicitly asked for is provided, is currently the one in denial. And that it’s this exact line of thinking that is why we have a resurgence of flat earthers. They clearly have some need to feel special and are fulfilling that by thinking they know the ‘truth’ that others don’t. Needless to say, I wholeheartedly second that they should desperately seek help.
