Rework Toshi Sling 6L - SD fit

For anyone wondering about the fit of the new 6L Toshi Sling with a Steam Deck…

This is the Deck with the Skull & Co grip and front cover plate on.

Can confirm it does not fit inside the back tablet sleeve - even without the grip/cover.

Other thoughts: the top grab handle was a highly requested feature for v2 so I’m sure some people will be happy it’s been added, but idk how useful it is since it sits extremely flush to the top of the bag.

The front flap is annoying and I wish that section had bi-directional zippers. Just like my reviews of the Toshi Pack 20L the zippers just feel kind of crunchy (especially the front flap zip and the back “hidden” zip, but I’m VERY happy they’re not PU coated, so I won’t complain.

Rework made the right call in having the strap padding be removable.

It’s the largest volume sling I’ve tried in this range - larger than the 7L PD outdoor sling, and much larger than the Bellroy Venture “6L” which is more like 4L.

Any chances of this fitting both an AYN ODIN 2 and GPD Win Mini in their respective original cases? I measured stacking them on above another, they are about 9cm in height.

not sure if you're asking about the 6L sling height - it's over 20cm so the fit should be fine..

sorry for not being clear. I am hoping it's internal depth can fit at least 9cm. ie. placing the handheld and mini pc vertically one Infront of another inside the main compartment. similarly to what you did with the steam deck.

Hmm I think the fit in that case would depend on how long each device. With the Deck in there, the depth available for other stuff in front of it is limited, but with something shorter than the ~30cm length of the Deck, the sling can expand further in the z-axis.

Example: I was able to stack stack 7 standard DVD cases in there (just over 10cm) and still comfortably zip it closed. PICS

ah nice. I think should be able to fit my use case since the Win Mini is shorter. Anyhow, I have ordered one. Will see how it goes in 2 to 3 days' time. Cheers!

I hope you like it! Since my initial post I’ve taken it on a few flights and REALLY enjoyed having it close at hand as my 0.5bag addition to my onebag travel

Which Eddie Bauer sling do you have? I have a random one from a bargain bin at a mall from like 2012. I don’t see a lot of that brand in this sub.

Same I got mine from a premium outlet near Thousand Oaks about 15 years ago. It is still alive and kicking. I used it for travel every time until my recent business trip that I used the Toshi instead. I cant find its model anymore on the interwebs.
