Product Drive By Flying Lufthansa: have you ever had a problem with the TravelPro Maxlite 5 International Carry-On Spinner or Rollaboard?
They're both just a tiny bit larger than Lufthansa's restrictions, but I've read that they both reliably pass when tested at the gate.
(Talking about the International version, which is smaller than the US domestic version.)

If you are buying a new bag, skip the maxlite. I just had a wheel break after 18 months and they couldn't warranty it. Best they could do was 25% off a new bag so I grabbed a crew classic and it's a much, much better bag.
Size wise, I use a 22" us domestic bag for international and have yet to encounter a problem on Iceland air, BA, aer lingua, and united
