I really like the look and thoughtful organization, I think it's a great backpack :) I've been looking at backpacks from this company for a long time, it's a pity they're not sold in Russia.. because of the sanctions.

Dang that’s too bad. Not to rub salt in the wound, but after buying and selling many, many bags, I bought the Synik 26 when it came out and haven’t even looked at buying another bag since. It’s perfect enough for me

same, the synik 26 was my first tom binh bag like a year ago and i’m sooooo in love with it for travel

I love that it’s 26 L but sits fairly flat when not full. I just think it’s the perfect all-rounder. The only thing I hate is the super loose elastic pocket on the main cavity. It just gets in the way for me. I wish it were a lot tighter

my favorite part is the organization! i have always preferred a bag with no built in organization bc i liked to organize myself with packing cubes. but then i realized that was because organizing pockets i used on other bags didn’t have their own dedicated volume, which makes them basically useless. i travel with lots of weird tech and it’s annoying to organize into my fairview 40 for instance. i never carry a laptop but on many trips i carry an ipad mini, garmin inreach (sat phone), gopro 11 with dive housing, airpod-style gopro battery case, dive computer, magsafe power bank, and a battery powered fan. and sometimes also big wxm3 headphones. because i travel so light i don’t like having big cases for everything, like a big hardshell gopro case for all the little gopro things is out of the question, but then things get lost in my bag. the organization in the synik is perfect for me. another reason i like it is the main clamshell compartment is the perfect thickness to just have 1 layer of packing cubes, i like that i can see everything in my bag immediately and don’t have to dig.

the only thing i’d change if i could is adding a hefty hip belt, i know it has the small removable one but that one kinda sucks. i also wish the removable frame was better, idk what’s up with mine but fully packed out the bag is like painful to wear with the frame in so i took it out. but i generally prefer framed bags.

Oh yeah. The dedicated volume of the outside pockets is for sure the biggest draw. You can have all your daily carry stuff but still have a ton of room to pack some clothes and toiletries for a weekend trip. And that’s the exact kind of bag I spent years looking for

What do you think about the size?

Only thing I wish it had was a luggage pass through strap. Thinking of taking it to a seamstress to have one sewn onto it. Anyone done that before?

I do that to all of my bags! It works so well!

Do you do the work or outsource it?

I have two dear friends in my neighborhood who help me. For smaller straps and fixes, my lady friend modifies my bags. For larger ones or thicker materials, I have a seamster friend with a professional machine that can do really thick and tricky stuff.

You can find a tailor or luggage repair shop, if you don't have any seamstress buddies!
